The weekend of action in college soccer wrapped up without any real surprises as the top 25 teams went five for six on Sunday, Only Harvard suffered a defeat, marking the Crimson's fifth match without a win.
A 74th-minute winner from Stephen Baker broke a 1-1 tie and gave No. 25 Pennsylvania a victory over Richmond. Loukas Tasigianis opened the scoring for Penn in the 24th minute but Houston Oldham equalized on the hour mark.
No. 9 Southern Methodist needed overtime to dispatch Jacksonville 2-1. Nedim Hurstic gave the unranked Dolphins an early lead with a 13th minute header. Josue Soto equalized for the Mustangs in the 70th minute and a 93rd-minute golden goal from Arthur Ivo secured the comeback victory.
No. 15 Michigan State opened their Big 10 campaign with a 1-0 defeat of Northwestern. Goals from Spencer Thompson and Jeff Ricondo were enough for the Spartans. Second-half goals from Matt Hedges and Ben Sippola gave No. 17 Butler a 2-0 victory over Milwaukee.
No. 21 Harvard ended up on the wrong end of their Boston derby, losing 2-1 to Boston University. Ben Berube upended the Crimson with a 57th-minute winner. No. 13 UCLA rebounded nicely from a Friday-night loss to down Cal State Fullerton 3-2 in nearly 100 degree heat. Reed Williams nabbed an 85th-minute winner for the Bruins.

UNC defeated UMaryland 2-1 in a meeting of the top 5
The Michigan State game was domination. I know they don’t keep track of possession, but it had to be 60-70 percent in favor of MSU.
