There were several shakeups in the NSCAA/HendrickCars.com Top 25 this week, but one thing remains constant: The Akron Zips have received every first-place vote since the Week 1 poll, and they don't look to be relinquishing the top spot anytime soon after winning their first five games by a combined score of 11-0.
Virginia dropped from No. 2 to No. 7 after a home loss to struggling Wake Forest, who continue to drop down the table, falling this week to No. 19 after a loss of their own to Charlotte.
Tulsa and North Carolina each moved up a spot to No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, with red-hot Monmouth and Maryland rounding out the Top 5. Southern Methodist continued its surprise start to the season, jumping into the Top 10 on the back of a 7-0-0 start.
Ohio State and Harvard tumbled after disappointing weekends, dropping 14 and 15 spots, respectively, while Indiana and Portland dropped out the Top 25 altogether. South Florida and Brown replaced them in this week's rankings:

Surprised to see Tulsa and Monmouth in the Top 5? Think Virginia and Wake Forest fell too far? Do you see anybody causing Akron to slip up this season?

I don’t know UNM has been knocking teams out of the ranking every week it is a shame UNM’s preseason win over Tulsa doesn’t count
Sorry you are correct there is a way to rank college soccer and I want to see those rankings.
How is it UNM isnt ranked now?
Harvard: 7 Shots 3 on Goal
UNM: 14 Shots 7 on goal.
UNM completely dominated another top 10 school, and not only does Harvards rank drop because of it, but UNM isnt even on the recieving consideration list? give me a break
Cmon Ives, show Tulsa some love. It’s not all ACC anymore. Big game Friday, #1 vs #2.
With respect to these rankings, I agree, but do not say there is no real accurate way to rank teams in college soccer. I take that as a personal offense.
We’ll see what Tulsa has to say about that on Friday…
S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C !!!
Monmouth in 4th? Let’s keep it going, FORZA NJ 😛
the rankings are based on wild guesses about teams there is no real accurate way to rank teams in college soccer most people voting have not watched more than a handful of teams play. it is all meaningless in my mind
Can’t see why UVA would have dropped that far after a loss to WF…we all know what WF is capable of and where they will be at the end of the season. That being said, no one is beating Akron this year.
