Saw it on the local Seattle coverage – Joseph slapped Ianni in the box and then took a dive. Ref was only a couple feet away but still ruled Joseph was the one fouled.
It was pretty ridiculous looking from KONG’s camera angle. The look of shock on Ianni’s face when he got slapped was priceless.
I definitely think Schuler has made his case for the #3 CB on the team. Bye bye McKenzie.
Schuler was actually not as scary as i thought he would be. I thought he and Montero would be the biggest goal scoring threats… against RSL.
RSL played that one a bit conservative with relying on counterattacks. Once again they showed why their defense is tops by locking down Seattle with a few backups playing.
I really hope this game has a goal in it…
Yeah your roght my bad I thought this season was the most goals we scored in a world cup I was wrong I just looked it up.
Why are the Sounders time wasting at home??? lol
the west is gonna get 6 teams in the playoffs!! cuz we west side stunnnnnnas! east is the weakest like the east is in NBA and the NL is in baseball!
fans need to come up with something more clever than “you suck a** hole”…
I’m a fan of Beckerman for the same reason I’m a fan of Alex Song. Not flashy, surely not. But tireless, tough, tidy, intelligent. Huge parts of why those teams work when they do.
(For real. I think Alex Song is very underrated.)
look good for the ladies….
Beckerman? Really? what does he do besides kicking the ball upfield
Uh not even close to the best attacking squad.
The best attacking team U.S ever had?
He’s real tidy, very rarely makes a poor decision.
He looked very good in the Gold Cup two summers ago, I thought. Just a bit mystifying to me. I guess he’s just lost in the pack of good central mids the US has.
You can see a lot Reyna in Beckerman. The leadership ability, the composure on the ball, the vision and patience.
Beckerman could have been a decent national team midfielder given the system and opportunity. His style of play does not mesh well with 2 d mids and non possession games.
and yet you compare him to Beckerman….
Dang you…
Claudio Reyna was slow as well, and he was the best player they US has ever had.
Yeah, because that’s what I said dawg
He’s solid, but a little slow.
The more I watch Salt Lake play the more I’m amazed that Beckerman has never had a longer look with the national team. The last three years have been excellent for him.
They are both far superior in terms of technical ability.
Bradley chose speed over skill, and we got what we asked for.
Yeah but they are not lightyears ahead of him. They were slightly better options.
Buddle is the next drogba and Gomez is the next Messi. Fo Sho!
Sorry, Morales didn’t take the PK because of my fantasy team curse. Its been going around. (Olave and Rimando both missing out Clean Sheet opportunities with what?! fatigue?! C’MON!)
Gotta think Gomez and Buddle were in better form
RSL didn’t even get a shot on goal other than the PK. Not good news.
People make it seem like he was leaving world class strikers on the bench. Findley is not great but, the other alternatives weren’t great.
I’ve watched the past 3 RSL games, and I can’t figure out why Findley even plays.
Its clear to me that his technical ability is not even on par with many MLS defenders. It baffles me that Bradley cannot see this. Or even worse if he choose to ignore it.
anybody have video or see what happened with the p. ianni-s. joseph skirmish last week?
yup
Watching these games make you seriously wonder what is wrong with Bob Bradley.
First half Sounders have the better possession, and have created more chances.
hes injured
knee injury
after a terrible start RSL is looking a lot better
whats wrong with blaise?
why didn’t morales take that…?
findley = overrated (only by Bob Bradley)
F’n Findley!
keller = legend
Robbie Findley has the technical ability of a high school player.
With average MLS speed, I don’t think he touches an MLS squad.
Findley needs to spend the offseason learning to be more instinctual and just gain a match IQ from watching games. It should improve a little.
*Sigh* Nice soccer IQ there Findley
Going to chime in with Harkes–Keller really was a great signing.
Someone knock Olave to his feet with moderate force. I’m looking out for you Greg Sutton.
Come on RSL..Bring it.
