The struggling Los Angeles Galaxy will be in Chicago this weekend to take on a desperate Fire team in a battle of squads that need a win badly.

The Galaxy could wind up falling out of first place in the West with a loss on Saturday, while the Fire could see its playoff hopes fade with yet another setback.

MLS will take center stage on an international fixture weekend that has Europe's top leagues taking a break. New York will travel to the fortress that is Rio Tinto Stadium to take on RSL in what may be the weekend's most entertaining match-up.

If you're craving some international soccer, the Brazilian league will feature a pair of matches on Sunday, including star-studded Santos taking on Flamengo in what should be a good battle.

Here is a rundown of This Weekend's Soccer on TV:

  1. that article is bs. just look to the influx of investments in youth systems by MLS clubs and the Impact and Whitecaps, the number of of youth’s bypassing college for MLS and Europe, the U-20’s new found determination to cap players in other countries, and finally the number of home grown signings made by MLS teams. Finally Allsopp sucks balls and should go back to the A-league or play in China. He’s only a good pick up on my Soccer Manager when playing as a Southport in the Blue Square Premier.

  4. hey if you have direct tv, the red bulls game is available on the MSG channel. I don’t know if you have to purchase that minimum sports package for 6.99 per month (last time i checked) but you don’t have to be in the NY region to get that channel including the YES channels as well.

  5. could be worse, you could have lost all your money in a ponzi scheme. then your wife leaves you for your former best friend. your father leaves your mother for his masseuse and your mother takes up with the shrink you hired to get over your impending divorce.
