Toronto FC, Real Salt Lake and Seattle close out their group stage participation in the CONCACAF Champions League, but these MLS squads are entering tonight's matches in much different places.
Toronto FC has already been eliminated, but will look to close out with a win against Arabe Unido tonight (8pm, Fox Soccer Channel). Real Salt Lake has already qualified for the quarterfinal round, but will be looking to score a victory against tough competition when it takes on Cruz Azul at Rio Tinto Stadium tonight (10pm, Fox Soccer Channel/Galavision). The Seattle Sounders also close out group play tonight, taking on Deportivo Saprissa in search of a victory at Qwest Field.
If you will be watching tonight's matches, or just want to talk about the seasons TFC and Real Salt Lake are having, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action.
Nice job RSL, from NY.
pretty sure RSL would not face the Crew, as I believe rules state that teams from same conference and same group play are placed in opposite sides of the bracket.
And finishes first in their group too!
Love it when a US team beats a Mexican team!
Damn, I meant Christopher Sullivan. No beef with Dunny or Christian.
Really? You don’t know how that is possible? Well, when you have your own stadium, you can allow a certain number of people into the corp boxes. yes, rio tinto has corp boxes, and they were packed. That is how.
Just checked, Rio Tinto (El Castillo) seating capacity 20,008. Tonight’s attendance was 20,463. I don’t know how that’s possible.
Sweet jesus, I didn’t buy tickets to this game because it was sold out (minus $40+ tickets) and I misread the times as RSL at 10pm, watched the final four minutes at a bar, horrible but awesome.
That was a sell-out, sorry dude, but it was 100%.
No empty seats – this is the second consecutive game RSL has sold over 100% of capacity.
Nice work RSL. Love seeing any MLS team beat any Mex team.
It was Miles and Dunseth.
I thought Christian was the color guy tonight? But I only watched FSC for a few minutes before switching over to the crystal clear concacaf site stream.
He has before. He played in the US Open Cup against DCU.
Disappointed Christian Miles wasn’t calling the game. I love hearing him suck off the mexican teams.
Oh Kasey 🙁
CAZ had a grueling match vs. Santos yeaterday and it showed. Huiqui was horrible. RSL a little sloppy, but still sweeeeet win!!!
