Chris Wondolowski completed his dramatic goal scoring season with one final strike.

Wondolowski scored his 18th goal of the season, but the San Jose Earthquakes fell 4-1 to the Kansas City Wizards in their final match of the season. While Wondolowski's goal gets the headlines, Birahim Diop stole the show with a hat trick for the Wizards. Kansas City added a fourth on an Eduardo own-goal.

Wondolowski's 18th goal put him one goal ahead of Los Angeles Galaxy's Edson Buddle in the race for the Golden Boot. Buddle will need a goal against FC Dallas on Sunday night to win the silverware via the first tie breaker, assists (2 to 1). The match was the final match for the Wizards at Community America Ballpark as the Wizards will move into their new facility next season.

The Earthquakes will now get set to play the New York Red Bulls in their first playoff match on October 30th at Buck Shaw Stadium.
