How's that for a quick turnaround?

While you still likely haven't fully digested Chelsea's loss to Liverpool, Arsenal's loss to Newcastle, Sir Alex Ferguson's risky, yet undamaging (unless you're Owen Hargreaves) lineup moves against Wolves and Mario Balotelli's fitting stat line (one day his biography will be released with the title "Two Goals and a Red Card – The Mario Balotelli Story"), the Premier League slate continues on Tuesday and Wednesday with Matchweek 12 before Matchweek 13 commences on Saturday.

The lack of time between matches means managers could shift their rotations a bit more than usual to keep fresh legs in the lineups. The best thing to do is to keep an eye on team Web sites for the final word leading up to gametime, but don't be afraid to stick with your studs despite the loaded schedule.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

Already looking to make up ground in your table? One way to do that is to differentiate your stars from those of your opponents. Below is a 4-4-2 of the most-owned players (percentage of ownership among all fantasy managers in parentheses):

Now don't go swapping out Drogba just because a lot of other managers own him. Obviously these 11 are the most owned at their positions because they've gotten off to hot starts and are deserving of roster spots. But little moves here and there – such as a Tim Cahill (11 percent) instead of Bale – can help you differentiate your roster and leapfrog some of your opponents.

AMERICAN WATCH

The two fantasy stalwarts in goal figure to make for the best plays among Americans with Tim Howard's Everton hosting Bolton and Brad Friedel's Aston Villa welcoming Blackpool to Villa Park.

Once again, it's hard to justify playing Marcus Hahnemann, who faces another daunting task when Wolves' hosts Arsenal.

As for Clint Dempsey, he's definitely at the focal point of Fulham's attack, but the Cottagers will be hard-pressed to find the back of the net at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. Stuart Holden faces a tough matchup against the Everton defense at Goodison Park.

Just say no to Brad Guzan, Jonathan Spector, Eric Lichaj and Eddie Johnson. Barring injuries to teammates or fortuitous mid-season transfers come January, none of the four will hold fantasy value anytime soon.

INJURY QUICK HITS

Nani is still battling a groin injury and is expected to miss the highly anticipated Manchester derby…Tough break for Mexican international and Fulham defender Carlos Salcido, who has been enjoying a fine season at Craven Cottage. He suffered ligament damage to his ankle over the weekend and will be out for the near future…Frank Lampard is expected to be out for another game but perhaps be able to return for the weekend's fixture against Sunderland…Darren Bent picked up a hamstring injury in training and will miss some time for Sunderland. Asamoah Gyan, your opportunity has presented itself…Tottenham's midfield will be a bit depleted with Aaron Lennon and Rafael Van der Vaart on the sidelines…Aston Villa's front line is as thin as can be with Gabriel Agbonlahor, John Carew and Emile Heskey all out. It's the Nathan Delfuenso show for now.

Fernando Torres, Liverpool, £11.6

Perhaps more important than Torres' current form is the fact that he's started and gone the distance (save for for his 86th-minute exit for an ovation on Saturday) in his last four matches. There's risk involved with making Torres your captain, because with the lack of time between games, Roy Hodgson could choose to limit the star Spaniard's minutes. Nevertheless, it's no surprise that Liverpool's three-game winning streak has coincided with Torres scoring three goals and assisting on another in that span. With the Reds' safely out of the drop zone and facing an underwhelming Wigan side, albeit on the road, on Wednesday, Torres is worthy of a look for the captain's armband.

Other options: Liverpool's Steven Gerrard; Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda (vs. Fulham); Manchester City's Carlos Tevez (vs. Manchester United); Newcastle's Andy Carroll (vs. Blackburn); Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov (at Manchester City); Everton's Tim Cahill (vs. Bolton); Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott (at Wolves); Tottenham's Gareth Bale (vs. Sunderland)
