While time ticks down until Bob Bradley releases his roster for the United States men's national team's Nov. 17 friendly against South Africa, Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane has already released his.
South Africa's roster for the Nelson Mandela Challenge features many of its World Cup participants, including Everton midfiedler Steven Pineaar and World Cup standout Siphiwe Tshabalala. A surprise inclusion is current Leeds United and former San Jose Earthquakes striker Davide Somma, who moved to the United States when he was 12. Here is the roster in full:

Here are a few more stories to get you through the day:
HULL CITY SOLD
England League Championship side Hull City has been sold by Russell Bartlett to Egyptian – but England-based – businessmen Assem and Ehab Alam.
The club reportedly had debts of £35 million, which the Alams plan to clear. The sale of the club should prevent any potential threats of going into administration.
Through 16 matches this season, Hull City, which was in the Premier League last season, is currently just a point clear of the drop zone down to League One.
SALCIDO OUT FOR A MONTH
Mexican international and Fulham fullback Carlos Salcido has been ruled out for the next month after injuring his ankle over the weekend against Aston Villa.
The 30-year-old Salcido, who has starred at left back for the Cottagers since joining the team from PSV Eindhoven, tore an ankle ligament in a tackle with Ashley Young.
SNEIJDER SUFFERING FROM ANEMIA
Inter Milan and Netherlands star midfielder Wesley Sneijder says that he is suffering from anemia, a condition that can cause extreme exhaustion and fatiuge on account of not having enough healthy red blood cells. Sneijder reportedly passed out at halftime of Inter's match against Brescia over the weekend.
He has been left off the team list for Inter's match against Lecce on Wednesday.

What are your thoughts about the South Africa roster? Do you see Hull City making a return to the Premier League anytime soon? Think Fulham can topple Chelsea without Salcido? What do you make of the Sneijder news?

and agudelo….. all rbny front line lets do it
Let USSoccer officially release the roster before we talk starters
at this point i wouldnt mind seeing altidore for this match.
Will Agudelo and Diskerud start?
Wow…you don’t have much faith in our NT? I project a 2-1 win for us considering we’ll have a “B-team” for the most part.
why do we need to bring in clint?? i’d much rather let our boys who play at such a high level day in day out have some rest.
I don’t have much confidence in our national team, besides our youngsters almost lost to Haiti last year, we needed a Holden wonder strike to scrape by. I project we lose 2-1 if their lucky we’ll win 1-0.
Great picture for this post.
I think we can win this one, even with alot of youngsters. South Africa doesn’t have good height, so our forwards may have a field day in the air, against their centerbacks. Watch out for Gaxa, that dude was nasty in the world cup.
Projected SA line-up (4-2-3-1)
————-Khune——————-
—Gaxa—Ngcongca—Sangweni—Masilela
———-Khuboni——Lethsolonyane—-
——Modise—–Pienaar—–T’balala
————–Parker——————
We can survive without Clint, no big deal. South Africa without Pienaar? Doubtfull.
Some of those teams are in need of a rebrand…..
If south africa can bring pienaar in their mix, why can’t we get clint to play?
South Africa is bringing a full squad, wow. Should be a good test for our Nats.
I’m surprised some of these South African players haven’t picked up, espescially Siphiwe Tshabalala, he really impressed me at the World Cup.
agreed, its a shame…
That is correct. That goal was an awesome way to start the tourny. What a blast
Shame Somma couldn’t represent the USA. I know he has a greencard but I don’t know how long away he is from citizenship. I know he visits Florida often, he was back there this summer to renew his greencard.
He is doing very well for Leeds 6 goals in 12 games.
I believe it was Siphiwe Tshabalala
Does anyone remember the name of the dude who scored that sweet goal for SA in their world cup opener, and is he on their roster?
Anemia isn’t caused by fatigue is it? It’s probably because he hasn’t been eating enough red meat.
Tackle was by Luke Young that hurt Salcido’s ankle not, Ashley Young. BBC report wrong (with pic): http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3215756/Mark-Hughes-blasts-Luke-Young.html
on Ussoccer.com tomorrow he’ll announce
probably at the end of the week. I’m confident that he’s waiting for the results of several games that can determine who goes. For example, if Pachuca wins, they will still have a chance to make the apertura, so BB won’t be able to call in Gomez, Torres and possibly Vidal.
Hull sold? Does this mean that crazy bastard Phil Brown might be returning?
Do we know when Bradley is releasing our roster?
