Here are a few more stories to get you through the day:

HULL CITY SOLD

England League Championship side Hull City has been sold by Russell Bartlett to Egyptian – but England-based – businessmen Assem and Ehab Alam.

The club reportedly had debts of £35 million, which the Alams plan to clear. The sale of the club should prevent any potential threats of going into administration.

Through 16 matches this season, Hull City, which was in the Premier League last season, is currently just a point clear of the drop zone down to League One.

SALCIDO OUT FOR A MONTH

Mexican international and Fulham fullback Carlos Salcido has been ruled out for the next month after injuring his ankle over the weekend against Aston Villa.

The 30-year-old Salcido, who has starred at left back for the Cottagers since joining the team from PSV Eindhoven, tore an ankle ligament in a tackle with Ashley Young.

SNEIJDER SUFFERING FROM ANEMIA

Inter Milan and Netherlands star midfielder Wesley Sneijder says that he is suffering from anemia, a condition that can cause extreme exhaustion and fatiuge on account of not having enough healthy red blood cells. Sneijder reportedly passed out at halftime of Inter's match against Brescia over the weekend.

He has been left off the team list for Inter's match against Lecce on Wednesday.

  1. I don’t have much confidence in our national team, besides our youngsters almost lost to Haiti last year, we needed a Holden wonder strike to scrape by. I project we lose 2-1 if their lucky we’ll win 1-0.

  2. I think we can win this one, even with alot of youngsters. South Africa doesn’t have good height, so our forwards may have a field day in the air, against their centerbacks. Watch out for Gaxa, that dude was nasty in the world cup.

  4. South Africa is bringing a full squad, wow. Should be a good test for our Nats.

I’m surprised some of these South African players haven’t picked up, espescially Siphiwe Tshabalala, he really impressed me at the World Cup.

  5. Shame Somma couldn’t represent the USA. I know he has a greencard but I don’t know how long away he is from citizenship. I know he visits Florida often, he was back there this summer to renew his greencard.

He is doing very well for Leeds 6 goals in 12 games.

  6. probably at the end of the week. I’m confident that he’s waiting for the results of several games that can determine who goes. For example, if Pachuca wins, they will still have a chance to make the apertura, so BB won’t be able to call in Gomez, Torres and possibly Vidal.
