Clint Dempsey will look to build on his two-goal performance from last week against a familiar face who won't make finding another goal easy.
Dempsey and Fulham take on Brad Friedel and Aston Villa in a battle of mid-table Premier League clubs. Both teams are on 12 points coming into the match. Dempsey has four goals in his past six matches, but he takes on a Villa side which, led by Friedel, has allowed just one goal in three matches.
Friedel isn't the only American goalkeeper with a tough assignment today, with Tim Howard's Everton taking on upstart Blackpool in a battle of clubs on 13 points and Marcus Hahnemann and Wolves trying to slow down red-hot Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
The MLS playoffs resume today, with Colorado facing Columbus and Real Salt Lake taking on FC Dallas (SBI will have live commentaries on both matches so stay tuned for those).

Just saw that. Maybe he’s fightin’ mad about not ever making the 18. I would be too. Go Gooch!
Honestly I just think he has a lack of composure on the ball. Being a right back you should offer something going forward, I just don’t think he passes the ball well enough.
Wow. Did anyone else read that Onyewu and Ibra got into a brawl in practice?
How did Bebe play?
f*** man utd
So many good games today. 🙂
That is good he is staring we need him.
Lots of Man Utd haters on here
don’t self promote.
weird, i never knew that either!!
he doesn’t even consider himself American but still love that guy
Oh, I just looked up his bio. I never knew he was born in Texas. My mistake.
?
just because they’ve been playing all the sh*t teams of the league, when the mancs come up against some real competition like man city wed, they are in trouble with that squad
TIES it* lolol
BREDE HANGELAND THE BIG BOY FROM TEXAS WINS IT FOR FULHAM
Hahahahahha eat it ASTON VILLA!
Yeah, that goal was entirely made by the right back letting him cut back to the center. There was simply no reason as the Wolves CBs had dealt with crossess beautifully all game.
Then there is Marcus….did he remember at the end that he had money on ManU?
and wow, 2 crazy endings!
Hangeland with late equalizer for Fulham.
yes!!!! Fulham.. Hangeland. at the death!
How about Wolves play defense? Jesus.
This is just horrible. ManUre is SO bad and they end up winning anyways. Sigh.
wow, great goal from Park. that sucks
These last few minutes at Old Trafford are intense. Love to see Wolves hang on!
Where did four minutes come from?
4 minutes of stoppage, are you kidding me?
This game is a real corker. Wolves are really playing well.
