Fulham sits just a goal differential away from the Premier League relegation zone, making today's match against Manchester City crucial for Clint Dempsey and the Cottagers to avoid slipping any further in the standings.

Manchester City also needs a win today to move past surprising Bolton into fourth place in the Premier League and just a point behind third-place Arsenal. The Citizens have endured some disappointing results in recent weeks, but Fulham could provide the remedy today.

In Mexico, Pachuca has a chance to knock off Monterrey in the Mexican League playoffs with a win today, with Americans Jose Torres, Marco Vidal and Herculez Gomez set to be in uniform for 'Los Tuzos'.

Tonight's action will be capped by the 2010 MLS Cup, featuring FC Dallas against the Colorado Rapids. SBI will provide live coverage of the match tonight.

  1. Yea Deuce is clutch. He gets goals in stoppage time to win crucial games. And yea I love the guy

but Bobby Zamora is more important to the team, you would only know that if you were a Fulham fan. The team doesn’t play well without him. CASE IN POINT compare this season without him to the last two seasons.

And now I’m done arguing with this idiot who’s probably a Chelsea fan

  2. Orpeople like me have followed Chelsea since they sucked because my family loves manu and I chose to be different. But it’s ok you can assume to know me. Your teams going down.!!!!

  3. these are also the same players that got fulham to the Europa League final last year, so theyre not that bad.

You people are reminding me of the weekly screaming and crying we heard when Jozy was at Hull.

  4. Man City have been really good today, lets at least be fair. Not every team that’s ever losing has to be ‘awful’ and this game alone doesnt mean Dempsey needs to leave Fulham. He’s not been very good himself. At all.

  5. And

People like you are the reason a fake team like Chelsea has millions of gloryhunting “supporters” who don’t care their club is run by the Russian mafia

  6. That’s hilarious Bobby Zamora ….hahaha! Whose had more goals, been more clutch and more consistent. That’s right Clint Dempsey.

  7. I mean how can you get up every game for this, I don’t understand and the worst part about it is they can’t get better because they don’t have the money, so they just do enough to stay up. I just couldn’t imagine being a life long fulham fan.

  8. Mark Hughes spent the entire week talking about how much better than Mancini he would be doing with city…hey Hughes how bout u focus on ur current team who was in the Europa league final last season with virtually the same players…this is a mess…

  9. Wow, suckiness must be contagious. Deuce is playing pretty poor right now, probably due to total lack of confidence in his teammates. Ugh. I always used to say that Dempsey should stay at the Cottage, but if Fulham finish below 15, he needs to move on. Maybe to Bolton with Holden, work on their partnership together

  10. I understand that Man City has some sublime skill, but they are stringing together 15-30 passes at a time in the midfield against a supposed midtable Premiership side.

  11. Damn it’s going to be a relegation fight. Fulham though needs benefit of the doubt. Their best players have been injured for large periods. AJ, Zamora, Dembele. They’ll stay up but will Dempsey finally leave come season’s end?

  12. If you wanted to take this game as a microcosm of Fulham’s season, then Dempsey is Fulham’s best player and it is not close at all.

  13. Fulham are horrible, the only thing saving them from going down is that there are truly three worst teams than them. Everyone makes fun of Landon for being a big fish in a small pond, well you can say the same for clint he’s too big for this team at some point in time he’s got to make a move to a better squad.

  14. Dempsey has little chance of scoring at this rate.

They are leaving him alone up top, and he is being 2 and 3 man marked.

It is going to take something magical out of him or Fulham.

  15. Well that says something about Eddie JOhnson’s place on this side. Andy Johnon’s jersey — unless I’m mistaken — just says “Johnson”, not “A. Johnson”.

  16. Until Zamora returns Dempsey is Fulham’s best chance at scoring. Dembele is out til mid December. AJ is back but hasn’t scored in over a year. Kamara is crap and so is EJ.

  17. Wow — Inter is in a nasty tailspin. Not that I expected good things when the brought in Rafa Benitez, but I would have expected him to last the season. He won’t make it to Christmas.

@DCUnited — Avram Grant and Rafa Benitez may soon be available. No need to look at second-rate spectacular Euro failures like Favre, when you have a shoat at the big-time.

  18. Arsenal have 26 points. BOth bolton and city have 22 points. There is more that just a point between Arsenal and city.

(SBI-And if City wins, they’ll be a point back. That was the point.)
