The Round of 32 draw took place on Friday and American players drew some tough opponents. Midfielder Maurice Edu and Rangers will meet Portuguese power Sporting FC. Altidore and fellow New Jersey-born striker Giuseppe Rossi will take part in arguably the best match-up of the round, with Villarreal facing a strong Napoli side.

English clubs scored some interesting match-ups, with Liverpool taking on Sparta Prague and Manchester City facing Aris FC.
