Snowfall in England led to a plethora of match postponements in the Premier League last weekend, but today's Manchester City-Everton match has been spared and will offer us some entertainment this afternoon (3pm, ESPN2).

U.S. national team goalkeeper Tim Howard will be in net for Everton, but the story of the day will be Carlos Tevez, who will be in the spotlight after submitting a transfer request only to pull it back today. Tevez will have his chance to win back Manchester City fans by leading the Citizens to a win that would put them into first place in the Premier League heading into Christmas.

  1. I see nothing in the Laws of the Game that doesn’t allow you to put the ball back with your knee. The official only needs to decide whether it was deliberately kicked to him by a team-mate.

  2. They won’t have as far to run this year either. The table is so bunched together in the middle, they’re only 5 pts away from a european slot.

  3. WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Howard 1, Hubris 0. This lethargic waste of talent deserved this result against a blue collar club. This is as happy an upset as you can hope for.

  5. Who was given that card? Was it Barry?

I hope so, you cannot scream at the officials like that. Passionate yelling is understandable, but the City players are out of freaking control.

  6. It is literally EVERY time the ball goes in the box.

I didn’t really have positive or negative feelings toward Man City before this game, but I am feeling just hatred lol

  7. I wondered what bench Saha was hiding on. That being said, he looks great tonight as a hold up player. For his age, he can fly in the air, look at those ups.
