SBI Live Q&A set for 1pm Today

Considering the relatively light news day, and the fact it has snowed a ton all over the East Coast, I figure I'm not alone in needing something to do while waiting for a mountain of snow to melt.

So, with that in mind, I will be holding an SBI Live Q&A today at 1pm. We'll talk all things soccer. Whether it's MLS, U.S. national team or European soccer, we'll talk about it today. Want to ask about the upcoming MLS Draft? Eric Lichaj's performance against Tottenham?

Get your questions ready and I'll be back at 1pm.

  1. So…what’s going to happen for Brad Guzan — why is he being overlooked as Friedel’s replacement at Villa? Will Houllier even be there long enough to put his plans into action, or is he on the chopping block?

  2. I think Ives likes us to save the answers for him, but since someone else chipped in their 2 cents: It might be because Robles looked as if he was in over his head when Bradley did call him in to play for the Gold Cup squad.

  3. Not disagreeing with you (I haven’t seen Robles play) but what makes you think the MLS keepers Bob calls in are lesser quality? Is it because BL2 is better than MLS?

  4. Excellent! Read my mind on having a chat. That was my first hope this morning when I checked the site. Thanks for helping us slog through a dreary Monday!

  5. With the transfer window nearing the end, what advice would you give any Yank who thinks “too BIG” like Gooch did a couple of years ago?

Also, Luis Robles, GK at KSC in the 2.BL is having a remarkable season, why does Bradley continue to overlook him (one selection in the last 1 year) over lesser quality MLS keepers?

  6. I think that Charlie Davies would bennefit from coming over to the MLS for a season on loan just to get his game fitness back. The MLS has grown a great deal and the talent in the league is better than ever before. I am like you, I do not have a favorite MLS team, I follow the league and have enjoyed seeing the maturity. What do you think about Davies coming over for a loan?

  7. Ives. Rongen’s U20 team seems to be much much deeper than ever before. Add to that the fact that most of them are already playing professional ball. I am also seeing more mixed heritage players opt to play of the US. And lets not forget a growing number of players like Lichaj and Danny Williams breaking through in europe. It appears that the USMNT might be on the verge of a revolution in terms of depth and overall quality. Would you agree?

  8. Its been awhile since we heard of any developments involving the prodigy, Freddy Adu. What is his current situation? Do to take the over/under that there is a 70% chance he will return to MLS by the beginning of the season? I would love it if he returned to DC United. I think it makes sense, and we saw how Santino turned out once he came back. Also I’m just curious to know who your favorite house DJ is. Thank you Ives!!!
