Soccer By Ives wins 2010 Best Blog Award

For those of you who may have missed the news last week, Soccer By Ives won U.S. Soccer's Best Soccer Blog Award. The award, voted on by fans on, is SBI's third straight. Congratulations to the other finalists in a category that just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

I want to thank all of the SBI readers who helped make it happen, and also thank SBI staff members Avi Creditor, Adam Serrano, John Boschini, Gianfranco Panizo, Travis Clark, Michael Nastri, Jose Romero and Ian Holliday for helping SBI take its coverage of American and world soccer to a new level.

We are working hard to make SBI even better in 2011, so look for changes and improvements as we head toward our fourth year in business.

Once again, thank you to all of you for supporting SBI and for helping us win this award again.

  1. There’s only one soccer blog I visit daily/hourly and for good reason.

Congrats Ives and keep up the good work!

Please, though, for the love of Baby Jesus make a mobile friendly version for those of us at school/work to get our fix in an efficient manner.

  2. Congratulations! I have a whole slew of soccer sites in my favorites, but inevitably I always go to this site first. Everything you do, from timely news scoops, to interesting profiles of players, etc, is first rate. Once again, great job, and a well-deserved honor.

  3. congrats on the (looks around for pat riley)…. three-peat

though you are gonna be hard pressed to hold off Brooks Peck next year

(SBI-Thanks Maka. A four-peat won’t be easy, but it shouldn’t be easy. We’re ready for the competition. You have to beat the champ to be the champ and we aren’t going to make it easy to beat us 🙂
