FC Barcelona is still basking in the afterglow of its five-goal masterpiece against Real Madrid, but the Spanish champions will have to get back to work today.

Barcelona will be taking on Osasuna today and will be looking to avoid a letdown that could let Real Madrid close the gap atop the Spanish First Division.

AC Milan is also in action today and can regain sole possession of first place in Serie A with a win after Lazio registered a victory against Inter Milan on Friday to pull into a tie with AC Milan.

  1. He makes around 30,000 pounds a week. Yet I believe Schwarzer, Duff, Hangeland, Murphy make more than him. heck both AJ and Zamora makes around 50,000 I believe. He definitely needs a wage increase cause he’s outplaying everyone on the team, trying to lead them out of relegation almost solo.

  2. I dislike the Italians but damnit they’re stylish, the music for the intro to the AS Roma game had me wanting to put on my Saturday Night Fever pants haha

  3. EJ should have been brought on in the 78th instead of the 88th and should have replaced Kamara. And moved up Dempsey to partner with him and brought Duff on to cover in Dempsey’s spot.

AJ is just laughable. So is EJ but EJ is more effective as a sub.

  4. no one would be surprised to see dempsey leave in the window. too bad Hodgson’s got that gentleman’s agreement with Fulham, because I’d love to see Dempsey at LFC. Although, wouldn’t mind seeing him move up to a bigger club in the Bundesliga or Serie A. I think it’s pretty clear now to even the Eurosnobs that Dempsey’s got class.

  5. Everyone join me in a laugh as we mock Wolves.

Bench Hahnemann because you think it was his fault that you lost, and you get blown out 3-0 by Blackburn. How’s Hennessey working out for you?

    Morons.

  6. On another note, has anyone noticed that since Holden has been out, Bolton has crashed and burned.

They were cruising along, beating everyone until Holden was injured. Since that injury, they’ve grabbed only a goal in two games, and have looked poor.

  7. Great all around game for Deuce. Sweet assist, good hold up play, some tidy passing, and effort on defensive end. Just wish that he had a better midfield cast to support him.

  8. Haha.

When Walcott crossed the half line with the ball, I just stopped paying attention, and sure enough he dribbled right across the end line.

  9. Messi-like goal from Nasri, but it shows how every challenge on the field can be vital…how the defense can be hung out to dry when the forwards don’t do their job. The play started, unfortunately, when Clint Dempsey got schooled by Clichy. Dempsey tired getting in his face as Clichy was about to head the ball off a pass/clear that was way too long for Clint. Clichy touched it pastClint, as he was setting his feet, and then stepped past Clint to collect the ball and start the attack.

  10. You can see the frustration in Dempsey’s play. And you can see glimpses of it on his face.

And Van Persie faking an injury, shocking.

  11. Welcome to the EPL. The top “four” always get all the talk, unless they are getting shelled.

I don’t know about the offsides call, but that is the way it will always be with the British media.

  12. I think it is all coaching.

Mark Hughes is a fool. His defense is embarrassing. His midfield is embarrassing, and he refuses to yank his favorite players.

  13. Van Persie was a yard offside.

How come the commentators aren’t talking about that? In fact, how come they won’t say a thing about Arsenal? They sound very biased.

  14. Arsenal back line was OK until Koscielny gets head-butted by his own teammate. And instead of immediately going down, he foolishly stands around aimlessly which allows Dempsey to make the through ball for the Fulham equalizer.

  15. DEFINITELY.

AJ jeez what a non-lethal striker. Might as well brought on EJ and used his speed to partner with Dempsey’s skill. Fulham are so close to the 2nd.

You just know Fulham are gonna flirt with relegation all season. Hope Dempsey keeps scoring, cause he’s gonna get a lot of attention come January

  16. Atletico Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente is the highest scorer in La Liga behind Messi and Ronaldo. He’s 6’5 and total eye for goal. He went from average to top striker in the last 2 seasons. Hope he leaves next season for a club in England or Germany.

  17. BTW Dempsey gave a sublime pass to Kamara and he scored. He was off sides like 5 times in the first half. 68th min. I say take him off and bring on either AJ or EJ and let Dempsey partner with them and bring Duff to cover Dempsey’s spot. Dempsey will get the GW but needs to be closer to goal.

  18. I wonder how much PR has Dempsey given Fulham? You’d think they were among the top4 considering how much PR they get in the USA with regard to him? Any figures on how many Dempsey jerseys have been sold? I bet he’s a top seller at Fulham
