Rivalries are the order of the day on today's soccer on TV calendar, even if the day's best match has already been postponed.

Chelsea-Manchester United has been called off due to snow, but there are still plenty of other good matches to watch. Sampdoria and Genoa clash in one of Italy's better derbies.

The best match of the day is in France, where Marseille takes on fellow Champions League Round of 16 participand Lyon. If you're craving some championship action, look no further than Colombia, where Juan Carlos Osorio will lead his Once Caldas vs. Deportes Tolima.

American fans will be tuned in to Fox Soccer Channel this morning, where Charlie Davies could make his first appearance for Sochaux since last year's deadly car accident. Davies is in uniform for the first time, and could see playing time against Bordeaux, the same club he scored two goals against a year ago.

If you will be watching today's action, please feel free to share your own thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

  1. Been saying this here for a long time: Ligue 1 is incredibly fast and entertaining. Much better pace than Germany and it makes the EPL look like a geriatric league.

  2. I’m visiting Lisbon right now, and I was in Estoril when I remembered that three Americans played for the local team. It was just good luck that they had a home game, and that the Benfica game that was originally at the same time got moved to Saturday instead. So I was able to go to both.

Btw, Tony was clearly good enough to be starting. Not sure why he wasn’t. He was the difference maker before and after the keeper got sent off.

  3. Went to the GD Estoril game in the Portuguese second division and Tony Taylor scored the game winner off of a header. He also drew a penalty that got the keeper a second yellow, and made the pass that led to a cross for a goal. All this after coming in at half-time.

  4. you;re right. I think i actually did see the highlights of that one last year. It seems every time I watch Ligue 1 I really enjoy it, maybe it’s the fact that it’s not spoon fed to me that’s the problem, ha.
