  1. Sorry,

I disagree. He is playing for a very good coach and is learning from some very good strikers. Villarreal is a very good club. He needs to be patient. His time last year was wasted at Hull. Bad Club, Bad Coach, Bad results.

  2. I agree. There’s only so much “valuable training” that one can endure without getting actual game time…and he’s at that limit.

  3. Not really a holding midfielder but definitely favoring the defensive play.

Truth be told he’s playing extremely passive and shying away from receiving the ball.

    Looks nervous and lacking confidence.

  4. Castillo started for Puebla tonight, they lost. Bornstein is starting and playing now for Tigres on Telemundo, and Torres and Gomez start on the bench for Pachuca!!!

  5. They are in a desperate position. I wouldn’t count anything out really. If the manager thinks switching up the lineup will help, then it very well might happen.

You have nothing to lose at this point.

  6. Pretty sure Bradley doesn’t have to worry about playing time. Via a secondhand account, Bradley’s manager is reported to have said (in response to bids for Bradley) something akin to “If he goes, we don’t have a chance to stay up”

  7. He has to get a visa now that his work permit was finally granted…and that might require a trip back to the US. Hopefully he was training with Forest while he waited for a work permit and we can expect him once the visa is sorted.

  8. Don’t jump on me for this, but as someone pointed out above, Michael Bradley does not start and Gladbach wins.

For his sake, hopefully the manager didn’t notice.

  9. West Ham was absolutely painful. Specs didn’t look as terrible as most of the other Hammers, actually. Don’t know if that’s much of a complement, but there you have it.

Tough loss for Bolton. They could have used that. Glad to see Holden on the field again, though.

  10. I remember on the MNT Blog during the October friendlies, they mentioned that he was having some trouble understanding the coaching staff and players at the camp, and that Michael Bradley was kind of helping him out and explaining the direction. I’d imagine that if he doesn’t fully understand soccer words, his grasp of the language can’t be that good.

  11. maybe a hat trick is just too much to hope for, and so we hope for a brace!

I always hope for a brace, its just the max I will allow myself to hope for. Its always possible with Deuce as well, who tends to score in pairs in big games.

  12. Why do people say this? As long as you’re “hoping”, why not just go for the gold and hope for a hat trick? Are people that eager to show people they know what a ‘brace’ is?

The very end is when the manager talks about Jermaine Jones moving to Blackburn

  14. Guzan kept a clean sheet today for Hull City. I didnt watch it because I refuse to ever watch Hull City games again but good news for Brad.

  15. People need to understand something:
-Fox has the EPL games (almost all of the non-early games)
-ESPN bought some games from Fox. More this year than last year. Most of them are early morning games and midweek games.
-ESPN3.com would broadcast games they either bought and cannot fit in their schedule or games already aired on ESPN2.
-Foxsoccer.tv might be your best bet for legal online games
-ESPN can’t just broadcast a game it doesn’t own when they have nothing on (unless it wants to spend more money).

  16. Spector has been West Ham’s best attacking player.

How many times have I said or read that in my life? Probably once, and that happened 10 seconds ago as I typed it.

  17. Isn’t Hennessy also the Wales no1?

I agree. I believe Marcus will get a few starts soon or by Feb I can imagine because Hennessy is not up to saving them from relegation.

  18. I am always one to keep it unbiased, but it would be impossible to look good right now.

Their defense is just… words cannot describe how bad they are. A little tough to swallow that this is a top-class professional squad.
