Bolton 2, Everton 0: The Highlights

Comments

  1. Anyone think the officiating was obviously in favor of Everton? Numerous fouls not given and I dont think that ball was over. Holden’s goal should’ve counted. BTW, I’m not a Bolton fan. Just the way I saw it.

  2. I just don’t get why folks think MB is an immovable object.

Holden and Jones are the 2 best center mids, with clearly superior passing skills and equal or better defensive skills.

Mike needs to adjust to stay on field, shouldn’t be the other way around.

    Assuming all 3 are healthy.

  4. I don’t see why Stu, Jones, and Bradley can’t all be on the field together. In a 4-2-3-1, we can play Jones and Bradley as holding guys in the two and play Stu in the middle with Deuce and Lando in the three…

  5. Holden won’t stay out wide. He always cuts inside and clogs the middle.

But it doesn’t matter. You should have this discussion in about 3-4 months when the US will finally have games that matter.

    Until then it’s just exhibitions.

  6. Agreed with Sergio of SF. Unless another forward starts producing and playing with the a team, there’s no reason to employ two forwards, especially considering Dempsey’s ability to place that Wing/Forward mix.

  7. I would like to see all three on the pitch. Jones and Bradley centrally and Holden out wide, pushing Dempsey up top with Altidore.
