Manchester United 2, Manchester City 1: The Highlights (Updated version)

I don’t see City’s goal as being impressive. It was fortunate to even get on frame. It was a poor shot that looked to be going wide that luckily ricocheted off of Silva’s backside and found the net. Nevertheless, it helped set up that sweet, sweet Rooney goal, so I’ll always be in debt to Dzeko’s terrible strike.
Honestly, I think it’s a very valid point. It’s very easy to leave the score out of the subject, so anyone interested in the final score can click the link and read.
Which awful Creed song? 🙂 As for bandeeto, I feel for him, hearing Celine Dion music in your head is pretty rough.
Seriously, I think Rooney was so happy that he forgot what he was going to do. It looked like he was jogging to the corner flag trying to come up with something, and then he just gave up, turned around and struck his pose.
When you look at them, all 3 goals in the game were amazing. Nani’s first touch on his goal was of ridiculous quality, shocking in the best way. Nani may well become one of the best players in the world, and not before long.
City were pretty impressive, but still look inorganic
How about, “Don’t put the score in the title.” it what people do when the World Cup is in some bad timezone, and seems like a pretty easy way to keep 100% of your readers happy.
I don’t go to other sites that only post scores. I come here because there is so much other interesting stuff to read, but I rarely have time to go catch up on articles that have slipped off the main page.
So, Ives – completely up to you. You can ask a percentage of your readers to not visit your site 2 or 3 days per week, or you can just make your title say “X vs Y Highlights” and put the score after the click.
Great goal. Although, I’ve always thought bicycle kicks were overrated in the wonder-goal hierarchy. So much of a bike kick is just plain luck.(not that other goals also do not entail lots of luck)
There certainly have been some great goals this season in the EPL…the Johan Elmander goal versus Wolves comes to mind. It was one of the best displays of fluid footwork and fundamentals I’ve seen in a LONG time. Nasri also had a really great individual effort earlier in the season. However, given the context and implications of Rooney’s goal, I think it will have to be regarded as the goal of the season.
Usually the FSC highlights Ives posts are all game footage with a little narration. Maybe because it was the Manchester Derby they decided to give the wrap-up more attention…but as a result failed to give us what we wanted.
Ives, could you make a new policy not to put the score in the title, for those of us who live in your “worldwide” audience and don’t always get to see the games live (or those who have to tape it for later)?
I’d rather not have to avoid your site for two days until the game is on Monday night, Japan Standard Time, when my local cable provider offers it.
Ives, love your site but these “highlights” are horrible. About 3 seconds of a 3 minute clip are devoted to his goal with one angle. And I thought City scored . . .

Rooney=the white Hugo Sanchez
Haha, I was thinking of that awful Creed song, probably the one that saved that Norwegian kid from the wolves.

For some reason i heard Celin Dion music in my head when I watched Rooneys celebration. Very touching.

I can do it…i just don’t want to

And especially maybe don’t go to sites you know will have them, since if anything interesting happens, you know Ives will be all over that.
Don’t go on the internet if you don’t want to see the score

ah, jeez…

I’m sure it’s still worth watching…
thanks
+1, sick goal though
Rooney’s celebration one of the worst I have ever seen. Strange.

No disrespect, but TOW has way better highlights (of every game). I’ll still read ya ever day though, Ives!
thats easier than it looks.

crappy video. less talking more highlights.
I am hating life supporting UCONN men’s basketball and Manchester City at the same time. Two more talented and less motivated teams one cannot find.
where did that come from rooney?
