Manchester United 3, Aston Villa 1: The Highlights

  1. Not sure where you got that idea that I said he does. You missed my point, so I’ll make it again:

Some people on here, including Ives, are of the view that Villa fans don’t think Bradley can start. (Ives tweeted that yesterday.) I’m saying that view is wrong. Villa fans do think Bradley can start and do want him to.

  2. Bradley will get his chance, most likely starting Saturday against Fulham. Contrary to what people (like Ives) around here seem to think, Villa fans are stoked about Bradley. Some already call him the Yank Tank. Petrov is done, and Reo will be gone at the end of the season. Taking on Bradley wasn’t simply to make up numbers for a few months.

  3. Why did that defender woose out on the Vidic goal? he was in a great spot to block the shot and at the last second instead of putting his foot in front of the ball he turned away. SAD I bet Licjah would’ve blocked it ha ha

  4. OT: 6 EPL games today, 4 games with a strong possibility that an American will play, 1 game each on FSC and ESPN2, neither of which are showing a game with an American player. The missing-work-due-to- weather karma is catching up with me.

  5. After watching Villa’s midfield look outmatched and ineffectual, despite a pretty solid game from Jean Makoun…I think Bradley will certainly get some starts.

The idea that he’s ONLY for cover is laughable. Petrov and Reo-Coker are likely both gone at the end of the year…so Houllier will need to see what he might have in Bradley, should he choose to buy.

Tactically – I think Villa needs to have Agbonlahor and Bent in the attack…with Young on the wing. Much more dangerous when doing that.

  6. Artie,

I would recommend going to the original Bradley to Villa post, as there are wildly differing opinions on how this is going to play out. My own personal thought is that he is going to be given the chance to break into the lineup, and I can’t wait to see what he does with that chance.

  7. How soon (and often) will we see Bradley? Will he immediately and consistently be in the starting lineup for Aston Villa? Much obliged, all.
