Gaining entrance to Fortress U.S.A. isn’t as easy as it used to be.
The main suoporter’s group were delayed at the border. That might have impacted attendance.
Where were the Southsiders today? There couldn’t have been fifty Vancouver fans in the stadium.
Final 1-1. You didn’t miss much.
Boring match. Timbers second XI looked flat at times, but overall not terrible for a second team. I’m trying to think of some bright spots for Portland… Marcellin, who looked very comfortable at mid and Pore. But Pore was quiet after the first goal. Despite the own goal, Horst had some nice clears… big physical guy who isn’t afraid to mix it up.
Criticism… I forgot that Johnson and Umony were on the field. Braun struggled at right back… poor first touches, indecisive with the ball. He has some work to do. If Gilbert doesn’t get in soon, the Timbers will be thin at right back. Brown did fine in goal, he wasn’t really tested too much… but I’m worried about his durability.
Vancouver? If that is their starting XI, it could be a long year for them.
Not hard to do. *I* can play MUCH better than Jeremy Hall last night.
Joe Cannon had an absolute Jedi save against a screamer by Lopez at the end of the match. He was clearly using the force.
Yes, he’s the skipper, they’ve announced it a few times in this match also.
You’re right, but splittin’ hairs huh?
Can anybody help out with a game update?
I’m without real Internet tonight
Much appreciated!
well, 20-25 minutes south of *downtown* seattle. Only a few minutes from the city limits.
No doubt. Is he Vancouver’s captain? According to Wikipedia yes, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
Nevermind, just saw it on the website!
Just tuned in. Who scored the first goal?
And this is the Timbers 2nd XI…uh-oh
Ryan Pore looks like he wants the left mid spot…playing MUCH better than Jeremy Hall last night.
no. its where the sounders train and play open cup matches.
most fans want qwest for all games including this one.
Starfire sports complex in tukwila, WA. It’s where the sounders play when they can’t sell out Qwest
Starfire in Tukwila, about 20-25 min south of Seattle.
Vancouver does not look good.
What stadium is this?
Nice to see Jay DeMerit on D for the Whitecaps, welcome back!
Timbers Army sounds good.
