First-place Manchester United takes on defending English Premier League champion Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today in a battle of bitter rivals with different goals at this point in the season.

For Manchester United, a win would provide a major push to the Red Devil's title charge, while Chelsea desperately needs three points to move into the Top Four in the Premier League. The teams are separated by 15 points in the standings, but today's game should still be one of the most intense of the season.

SBI will be providing live commentary on today's match so please feel free to follow along here. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

  1. The ref must of had £££ on the match. Missed Terry’s handball in the box in the first half, Luiz should of had a straight red on Hernandez. No way that was a penalty in a 1-1 match if at all. Even Ancelotti thought Luiz got lucky he was not sent off. Atkinson reffed the United Chelsea match last year at the bridge. Chelsea’s record at home with Atkinson is 10-1. I’m hoping Man utd and chelsea meet in the CL.

  2. The hit on “Chicharron” McDonalds was as legit as you are not! And please point out when, apart from that one foul from that thug Luiz, who reminds me of another thug, Coloccinni, was Hernandez diving?

And what do you say about the penalty? I think NOT!

  3. What’s even more unbelievable is when Henry returns to Emirates and shows my baby gunners what winning titles is like. Hell, I’d even take Pires or Viera at this rate.

  4. They didn’t exactly do much on Sunday to help make their case. No one is denying that they’re not a good side. It’s just that the consistency isn’t there. Beating Barcelona and losing to Birmingham City???

  5. I really hope that Arsenal take the title this year so Ives will just shut up with his criticism. His disdain for the club is pretty unbelievable.

(SBI-Disdain? For who? Arsenal? That’s pretty hilarious. If you’re trying to suggest that Arsenal hasn’t shown a penchant for choking in recent years, pretty much the past six years, I really don’t know what to tell you. The zero trophies tells it all. And if they turn it around and win the EPL and Champions League then more power to them. You might want to consider that just because someone isn’t waving pom poms for your favorite club doesn’t mean they have “disdain” for your club.)

  6. I am not a Man U fan by any means, but Alex Ferguson is one of the best managers in EPL history. His teams have won 35 trophies in his 34th season. He deserves the respect he gets in England.

  7. sneaky cheaters? i think you’re talking about man u. sir alex unfairly influences the officials every game. and then you’ve got rooney, nani, and chicharrón diving around the park trying to draw fouls. pathetic. almost forgot to mention vidic mugging drogba at the end. shameful display.

  8. This comment is a huge joke.

And Chicarito hit his lips on Luiz’ shoulder. Rooney elbowed someone in the back of the head less than a week ago!

  9. Are you serious? MANU is a joke, Fergie is terrible for English Football and is part of the culture of entitlement which has been disasterous in england.

  12. Luiz should have been looong gone by the time he made the goal. And also United imploded after Hernandez was subbed!

  13. Seems a bit harsh if this is because of the 2-0 loss to Cardiff. I thought for sure they were going to extend his loan. Hull was playing pretty damn well with him.

  14. off topic but what is going to happen to brad guzan now? i believe his loan at hull ended at the end of february. back to riding pine at villa? say it ain’t so, he was doing so well!

  15. A few comments.

Forget the 4 minutes added on, the official kept the clock running well over a minute beyond that when United started attacking.

And did anyone else see Rooney going off at the officials after the game ended about Luiz not being sent off for fouling him off the ball? I wouldn’t shed a tear if someone elbowed him in the face and ended his season. Nothing but a thug.

  16. Just pointing out the obvious; It is not like I am saying he sucks at soccer. He is very good actually, so there is no need to get defensive. 🙂

  17. Laser strike by Sideshow Bob (aka David Luiz) to even the score. What a game to bag your first goal for Chelsea.
