It's a big day for European-based American players, with as many as eight playing in games on TV today.
Steve Cherundolo and Hannover 96 face Bayern Munich in arguably the most important game of the day involving an American, as Hannover looks to fend off Bayern's challenge for third place in the Bundesliga, a place that holds a Champions League berth.
There are a few matches that will feature Americans on both sides as well, with Clint Dempsey's Fulham taking on Jermaine Jones' Blackburn and Stuart Holden's Bolton facing Michael Bradley's Aston Villa.
If you're looking for the best European match-up of the day, you could do worse than the Juventus-AC Milan rivalry, which will be rekindled today.

Santos vs America was a very entertaining, well played with golazos match!
no you silly person, noam chomsky isn’t rich. only self-loathing RICH people are true america haters. chomsky’s just smart. perhaps you can’t tell the difference because you like…tea?
AV is run like the other team Randy Learner owns, The Cleveland Browns. Could be a long year.
————————————————–
Could be a long year? Villa only have 10 matches left, what on earth are you talking about?
I’ve got to say that Bolton is now for me the most entertaining team to watch in the Premier League.
it’s difficult to feel happy about a St Pauli loss unless it’s from Nuremberg. 5-0 and Chandler looked a’ight.
Reyes just had a sick left-foot strike for Atletico early. Hoping this one will be high scoring.
Arsenal doing what they do best–going soft in the final third at both ends and complaining about everything.
but oh, those beautiful passes AROUND the box!
i’m just pissed because i want Arsenal to catch Man U, but i’m increasingly certain that they don’t have it in them. PROVE ME WRONG, YOU PANSIES!
i dont hate AV, just Houllier
i would check… my charter sports package includes GOLTV – and the best part is almost all of it is in english!
Must be one of those self-loathers, perhaps Noam Chomsky?
I have the screen, but the resolution they are broadcasting at cuts off the edges of the feed.
FSC is not run by competent producers.
Is FSC’s video out for anyone else? The sound is fine but the screen is blank. Really wanted to watch this Milan-Juve game.
