I agree to an extent about both teams being annoying with refs (just about every other team is too). That said, certain players on each team are much worse or better than others. C. Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso, Pique, and Mascherano all strike me as constantly in the ref’s face complaining.
On the other hand I don’t recall Ozil, Kaka Messi, or Busquets crowding the ref nearly as often. While I am sure it has happened,, I can’t conjure up a single image of Messi in a refs face, despite the fact that he might be the most harshly defended player of all time.
I tried to go through the rosters and pick a random 2 players from each team for each group. It was odd that after looking at it I realized all of the ones on the bad list played in England. Possibly a coincidence, but funny nonetheless.
He said that here in the press room , Mourinho is the F***G boss and the F***g lord and that he has won the Champions league of whining outside the field, and that he wont compete for that title that Mourinho is a master at… and that Barcelona has won all the other “less important” titles that the world admires them for… that among other things
Agreed. They have got under each others skin (players and coaches) so much that watching them play each other is not very exciting. They should all just shut up and play a match befitting their talent level. Don’t see much chance of that happening. Let the whining and rolling on the ground begin!
It’s all fairly ridiculous, since both coaches and both sets of players complain to holy hell every time a call goes against them. It makes watching them a lesson in the art of whining. The players hound the ref and weep every time a whistle goes against them, and Mourinho and Guardiola laugh ruefully on the sideline as if the entire set-up of La Liga or UEFA is a conspiracy to bring them down — and all along it’s obvious to everyone else that RM/Barca have absolutely everything stacked in their favor and will most often get the whistle their way.
He said there were two kinds of coaches — one who says nothing to the ref, another who yells at the ref about mistakes, like himself, then Pep was a third one, who even complains about right calls.
The translation is terrible and does not represent the irony well…we are all adults here and can deal with a few minor curse words… Why in all other countries that is not a problem censoring this… why so much hypocrisy here.?
Pep sounds peeved. Mourinho is a master at getting under people’s skins — agreed he has won the battle away from the pitch. We’ll see what happens on the field of play though….
Mou basically said remember Stamford Bridge and the way Barcelona has won in the Champions league with the help of the refs.
He also said that Pep is used to being helped by the refs and thats why he criticed the refs when they made the offside call against Barcelona even do it was the right decision.
Pep was incoherent. And yes, i do understand spanish.
Special One TV should be entertaining…
You could also make the argument that Mo’s media manipulation is indicative of his time in England.
+1
It’s Fox, I don’t know why I expect anything other than sensational nonsense from them.
Anyway, in the rest of the clip which Fox edited out, Pep went on to explain what he said after Copa del Rey.
Yes, the curses make the statement understandable.

Thank you.

He’s the Effing Boss and the Effing King. Love it.
My Spanish is weak. Can you elaborate a bit more on what he said, in its proper context?
