The New York Red Bulls will be looking for a measure of revenge tonight when they take on the San Jose Earthquakes at Red Bull Arena.
The stadium is the site of San Jose's stunning upset victory against the Red Bulls in last year's playoffs, a defeat that halted what many expected to be a New York run to the MLS Cup Final. Almost five months later, the Red Bulls will look to make up for that painful loss.
The Red Bulls will look to unlock an offense that has mustered just two goals in four games this season, with Thierry Henry getting the start despite an Achilles injury that's been bothering him since the start of the season.
The Earthquakes will be looking to snap a recent streak of draws, including a disappointing 1-1 tie at home against Toronto FC.
SBI will be providing live commentary on tonight's match so please feel free to follow along here. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action (Commentary is after the jump):
How’s the view from inside your glass house? I’m sure you can’t honestly say you’ve never stolen something. Every ‘sin’ or immoral act is a form of theft. You’re probably some middle-aged man who gives young people crap because you think our generation has no moral code. Don’t act your generation was full of saints.
And every second of your life that you drive over the speed limit, you’re a criminal.
Ouch, you’re just like him.
The game was blackedout in North Carolina? Or you could have watched, you’re just too cheap? Taking something that you would otherwise have to pay for is called stealing. The owners of the rights to this game sold those rights. You could have paid to watch online. But you would rather watch for free. You’re a thief. Accept it. make all the excuses you want from your ivory tower, but stealing a video feed is still stealing. Glad your ‘college’ doesn’t have an honor code.
Listen bro, I don’t “profess to love” any MLS team. I’m from Georgia, I don’t have a local team, and guess what, can’t get any games on tv except for the ESPN and FSC broadcasts. I currently attend school in NC and can’t get direcTV in my apartment so I can’t get the direcTV package.
When MLS taps into all the regions of the country, I’ll support my local club. Some people aren’t made of money and can’t afford MLS Matchday. Don’t act like you’ve never watched a European match on a stream.
Take your holier-than-thou crap somewhere else.
If people WANT to watch MLS games, don’t get pissed at them. It just means the league is actually relevant for once.
Sorry. I have this thing about stealing from the clubs we all profess to love. There are twenty thousand empty seats in that stadium tonight. Those seats were available for 15 bucks, plus a scarf, from Groupon last week. If you are in a blackout zone, and didn’t have fifteen bucks to spare?
Support your club, and support MLS. This particular match is available on foxsoccer and for anyone blacked out, live in person. You want MLS to grow? Don’t steal from them. Pony up. You could have been at this match for fifteen bucks. Or paid 29 for a season pass to MLS matchday. How hard is that? Grow up. You say you want MLS to grow? Pay up. Fifteen bucks.
As for the hype. People ask for streams. I assume that’s because they aren’t local and can’t be at the match. So I provide a solution. Sorry actually paying for things isn’t to your liking.
+1
I don’t consider $60 cheap.
Does MLS Matchday pay you or something? You’re such an A-hole about correcting people every time, screaming at them when they don’t have Matchday. Get a hobbie or something dude.

Blackouts, wiseass.
MLS matchday is your friend. How cheap are you people, anyway?

Wait… check that. I just watched a highlight and not a stream. I’m an idiot.
DAVIES WITH A SECOND!
1-6-3 Ya gotta love Backe! lol
