Manchester City spent millions and millions to build a team capable of winning trophies, but the boys in Blue are down to one last chance for silverware, with the FA Cup being the last trophy the Citizens are capable of winning.
The only problem is Manchester United stands in the way. The Red Devils face City at Wembley today in the FA Cup semifinals and it won't be easy for Manchester City to deal with a red-hot Manchester United squad.
The Manchester Derby is one of two high-profile match-ups today, with Real Madrid-Barcelona grabbing most of the headlines. The latest version of 'El Clasico' is the first of four meetings between the arch rivals in 18 days and should be the most intriguing match-up of the day.
MLS is also in action today, with New York taking on San Jose and Seattle traveling to PPL Park to take on the Philadelphia Union in two of the day's better match-ups.

I was a liverpool fan long before we had american owners and will be one when or if they go. and yes, i am american. Pretty cold statement about the accident considering they just had a tribute yesterday. Stay classy buddy.
#9, #9, Davies scores to put DCU up by 2 early.
Wouldn’t that be a good showing at RBA? Think of all those folks who bought that Groupon…
Agudelo not starting tonight. Luke Rodgers starting instead. Interesting…
Torres isn’t someone who will really be a defensive midfielder or slice open defenses, but he’s a guy who is great at helping his team keep possession, spread play and dictate the pace of the game. Better than possibly anyone else on this team. The fact of the matter is that he’s just not needed.
The Clasico was a phenomenal game. Albiol’s idiocy aside, I though Madrid did a nice job of shutting Barca’s lethal midfield down.
Great game, incredible tension.
I thought this was supposed to be a running commentary board about the games being played? Doesn’t anyone actually talk about the games going on and not about why supposedly “such and such player on the MNT sucks.” Can’t those posts go to a more appropriate board, like say anywhere but here?
The weather seems to be awful in a lot of the US. I’m headed to Red Bull Arena tonight, and I’ll be positively shocked if there’s more than 5k in attendance.
“…Not even Torres.”
Oh, you mean the worst midfielder in our talent pool of capped players? That Torres? The one who y’all jerk it over as a “creator” when he’s a glorified CM who’s too small to play a holding role and not good enough going forward to be an attacking mid? That Torres?
Right.
feel any sympathy, sorry
37 and rain here in Chicago, snow in the western suburbs… Yeah, hard to fail any sympathy, sorry. 😉
Also, you’ll have 3 more of these matches to watch in, what, the next 3 weeks?
Weather is terrible and the sixers and flyers both have playoff games going right now. You knew it was going to be a tough task top get people to go to PPL today.
