This Weekend’s Soccer on TV (& SBI’s Top Ten Matches to Watch)

It is no longer a battle between championship contenders, but Manchester United's battle against Arsenal this weekend will still make for great theatre.

Arsenal has dropped points in recent weeks and has fallen behind Chelsea in the Premier League standings, meaning this weekend's showdown vs. Manchester United will be more about pride than trying to win a title.

Chelsea still has a legitimate chance of catching Man Utd, but the Blues will need to beat London rival Tottenham to do so.

The MLS schedule is loaded this weekend, with Real Salt Lake visiting Portland as it tries to erase the memories of the CONCACAF Champions League Final, while FC Dallas takes on Los Angeles without injured star David Ferreira.

Here is this weekend's Soccer on TV:

SBI'S TOP TEN MATCHES TO WATCH

1. Arsenal vs. Manchester United. The title won't be on the line, but there's enough quality and bad blood to make this must-see TV.

2. Chelsea vs. Tottenham. London rivals square off with each needing the three points badly. Blues still have title hopes while Tottenham try to stay in race for fourth place.

3. Sao Paulo vs. Santos. Brazilian powerhouses collide in a match-up featuring plenty of young stars.

4. Portland Timbers vs. Real Salt Lake. The best team in MLS travels to face arguably the toughest home crowd to play in front of. Will RSL feel a CONCACAF hangover and drop points for the first time this season?

5. Bayern Munich vs. Schalke 04. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer takes on the team most likely to sign him in the summer. Bayern needs this one badly.

6. FC Dallas vs. Los Angeles Galaxy. No David Ferreira, so how will Dallas deal with the surging Galaxy? Not sure, but it should be fun to watch.

7. Chivas Guadalajara vs. Monterrey. The newly-crowned CONCACAF champions face Chivas in a must-win game to keep its Mexican playoff hopes alive. Nothing wrong with watching to root against them.

8. New York Red Bulls vs. Sporting Kansas City. Want a game sure to have some goals? This is your best bet. It would be a miracle if we don't see at least four goals in this one.

9. Manchester City vs. West Ham United. West Ham looks destined for relegation, but an upset of City could breath some life into a dying survival challenge.

T10. Houston Dynamo vs. D.C. United. Charlie Davies will look to add to his league-high goal tally against a stingy Dynamo defense.

T10. UNAM Pumas vs. Club America. Much like Monterrey, Club America needs a win against first-place Pumas to boost its flagging playoff hopes.
