Cummings sidelined 2-4 weeks with sprained ankle

Colorado Rapids have been waiting weeks to get Conor Casey back from a strained hamstring, but now the Rapids will be forced to play without their most dangerous player.

Colorado striker Omar Cummings is set to miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained ankle suffered during the Rapids' 2-1 win vs. Houston last Wednesday.

The Rapids are set to face D.C. United on Saturday, and will be without Cummings and Irish striker Caleb Folan, who is nursing a groin strain. With Casey still working his way back to full fitness, Colorado may be forced to field the forward tandem of Quincy Amarikwa and Andre Akpan.
