Fans were treated to two of the better goals of the Major League Soccer season on Saturday night, when Carlos Ruiz and Bobby Convey each found the net in impressive fashion.

Ruiz admitted that his left-footed volley from distance was a bit fortuitous, and perhaps Chicago keeper Jon Conway could've done better, but the stunning strike was perfectly hit and gave the Union three points.

Convey's turned out to be a left-footed game-winner too, as his free kick from the right started out wide only to curve expertly into the upper left-hand corner of the goal.

Which goal do you think was better? Watch both and cast your vote after the jump:

  1. THANK YOU! Finally – I can’t believe everyone is saying Convey’s goal was so great and intentional. Clearly luck. Clearly an intended cross. The body language, the approach, the arm in the air before the cross to alert his teammates, the reaction of disbelief when he realized his botched cross turned into a sick goal.

Everyone stop saying Convey’s goal was brilliant and intentional, because you are pissing me off with your blindness!

  2. Must have been a SLOW NEWS DAY for Avi to put this posting up. I Guess this is the dead time of the year, just after the season ends and before the silly season gets started.
