  1. First of all bro, READ. Buddle and Gomez for that matter are MUCH better than Wondolowski, faster, stronger and at least as good of a finisher-there’s really not even a debate there-Wondo IS NOT INT’L QUALITY AND NEVER WILL BE. EDU over Sasha, NOT ADU. READ. JOSE and SAF making us THAT much better? What kind of an argument is that? When did I say we would all of a sudden overnight be like Barca? Bottom line is these guys are great coaches with great footballing philosophies, they would make us better, PERIOD.
Do you want to take your comments back after the game last night? You call me retarded, good lord bro.

  2. dave youre effing mental dude…like buddle is intl quality…youd have Adu on the pitch over sasha? have you watched him play??? jose and sir alex could both coach this team and they we wouldnt be THAT much better…its not like they are all of a sudden going to take the same players and make them play like barca. Bob has done fine with the cards he has dealt. Nothing is going to change over night, esp. with all these half assed so called fans like you….oh and 3 fwds is plenty considering we could slide clint and landon if we need to. PPL ON THIS SITE ARE RETARDED!

  3. I do agree though in some terms and I absolutely do understand ffs. Just because some disagrees doesn’t mean they dont understand. Anyways, his subs, starting line-ups, call-ups, and style pisses me off as much as the next guy… But I would rather see us win the gold cup.

  4. “If you’re impatient that’s fine, but grass only grows so fast.”

That may be true, but the Bradley/Gulati haters have long ago proven that the grass is greener on the other side.
They’ll probably push Klinsmann for the USSF as well, he’s European!

  5. really? what was revealed is that Ream can’t defend at this level. he was absolutely exposed repeatedly by both Tejada and Perez, Goodson also to some degree. the difference in this US team and thos eof the past decade is this new weakness in central defense

  6. “Gulati is likely to view any knockout game as a “one-off” result, and he’s shown he’s not prone to switching things up.”

Incorrect: First of all, that is the correct attitude to have. BUT, it depends on who that one-off result is against, how far into a tournament, etc. For example, Rongen was let go after a one-off result, losing to Guatemala in the U-20 WC qualifiers. If Rongen had lost one round later, qualifying our team for the WC, he would almost certainly still have his job right now. Seems fair to me.

  7. I never said Bradley made good decisions or is a good manager but as a fan of the US national team you shouldn’t care aslong as he succeeds which he had until this world cup which I think we could have gone farther in. He should have been ousted then. He wasn’t so, ok, he got us to the Confed final, did ok in the WC, qualified, won the gold cup, so ok whatever, pray he atleast does that good again. HE LOSES to panama, 1 game, which was more readiness it seemed than tactics and you now are fed up.., He has done silly things, but they are little things, if he goes on to win the Gold Cup, will you still want him sacked? It seems like you would rather sack him for the smaller picture things than actually losing the gold cup. You are way too extreme my friend, you should want your nation to succeed EVERY time…

  8. London’s Telegraph called him the best crosser at the World Cup last year, remember that? a freakin’ English paper that always makes fun of US soccer.

    we need that Landon.

  9. hell no it’s not. frankly, who cares what he does for Blackburn if he’s gutless in the USA kit. so far, he’s had exactly one good game for the Nats, vs. Canada. that’s it.

  10. Clearly you don’t get it. It is very important to me, of course, winning the gold cup is essential/critical/a huge inestimably important tournament to our success in 3 years in Brazil. Which is why I wonder why we only brought 3 forwards, one of which will NEVER be int’l quality and leave off Gomez and Buddle. Why I wonder why we brought Gooch when it’s clear he isn’t fit, and Omar Gonzalez is playing with his nuts in LA. Why we bring in players like Robbie Rogers over passers like Torres and choose to play sacha freakin klejstan over Edu. Why we bring Freddy Adu to sit on the bench. Why we couldn’t “get” Timmy Chandler to play this summer. BECAUSE BOB BRADLEY ISNT GOOD ENOUGH AND IF WE WANT TO DO BETTER HE HAS TO GO.

Is that clear enough for you?

  11. And what… You really think we would fail to qualify under Bradley? I don’t think he is that awful, I’m sorry…

  12. No I get it…, WE AIN’T SUCCEEDING nothing if we don’t play in the confed cup. That is vital for us to gain confidence and experience for players all across the squad and also give 1st time world cupers a taste of what’s coming… I don’t care if we got mourinho, winning the Gold Cup and competing in the Confed Cup is very important to me and should be to u 2.

  14. Panama’a coach, Dely Valdes, had only coached a handful of games before preparing for this tournament and he showed that BB and the US can be figured out pretty easily. Panama wanted that game far mroe than we did and BB was out coached. Other middle-of-the-pack CONCACAF teams (minnows on the global stage) are starting to realize this.

  15. Could not agree more with your post. Barca have an embarrassment of riches and it’s very difficult to assess how Guardiola would do elsewhere. As a diehard Barca fan, I have at times been furious with some of his decisions and tactics, see Inter-Barca champs league semi last year, so I question whether he’s as good a coach as his team is simply comprised of astronomically-talented ballers. But at the same time, his passion and commitment to the beautiful game could really only have a good effect on our set up. Maybe 2018 or 2022.

  16. Completely agree…Trekker wrote a good article about CONCACAF a couple of days ago that has, I think, a pretty direct, less corrupt for sure thank god, corrolary with the US system-it’s the good old boys network. All these guys who brought the WC to the US in 94 and kickstarted MLS and who just can’t stop blowing themselves for their amazing accomplishment of bringing the beautiful game to the masses in this soccer-retarded country. Congratulations on your success guys, we the fans appreciate it, but now it’s time to let the professionals in to bring our team (and the sport generally) in this country to the next level. It’s all about power and Sunil and his homeboys just don’t want to let it go, although I’m sure deep down they know better and can see what’s happening. Bottom line-we’ve got 300 million people-and they aren’t all cornbread whities from Kansas. There’s no reason why we should not compete with the world’s elite-just takes a philosophy from the top and a coach who can take us there. Dempsey, Donovan,Dolo, Howard, Michael B, and the host of incoming stars DESERVE better and WE deserve better. End Rant.

  17. It would be really exciting to see Guardiola take the reins in MLS or with the Nats at some point, but I’m not yet convinced about his ability as a coach. Barcelona has incomparable resources, a fantastic youth system, an unbelievable first-team roster, and knowledgeable ownership. No MLS team has those things, and the National Team is a whole different ballgame altogether. I think he’s done a great job of managing his wealth of talent and resources at Barcelona, but the challenges he would face in the US would be monumental, comparatively speaking. A more seasoned Guardiola (if he continues along his current trajectory) would be a dream for the WC 2018 or 2022 cycles. Of course he’s not likely to step out of his comfort zone at Barcelona anytime soon.

  18. Go read Grant Wahl´s article on Bob Bradley. Its on Sports Illustrated.

Bradley’s teams have given up the first goal 30.4 percent of the time (7 of 23 games).

Those are official matches played on US soil.

  19. I have to agree, but in order to make the most of the change, the new manager needs to have the ability to make sweeping changes throughout the USSF, like the ones that Sunil did NOT want to allow Klinsmann to make. Otherwise, we are renting a name that will leave after the cycle (or before, like Sven Goran).
