The New York Red Bulls take on the New England Revolution tonight in the latest installment of their I-95 Derby at Red Bull Arena (8:30pm, Fox Soccer Channel).

The Red Bulls are mired in a six-match winless streak, and still smarting from giving up a stoppage time equalizer last week to the Columbus Crew. They'll be looking to beat a struggling Revs side that has managed just two goals in the past six matches.

SBI will be providing commentary throughout the match so please feel free to follow along. As always, you are welcome to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Enjoy the action (Commentary is after the jump):

  1. Ives didn’t say LA’s depth was better than LA, but Sully seems to feel that NY has the best depth…Hertzog has to improve though

  2. Rodgers is also playing great. Ballouchy made some nice touches and showed his skill, but he does need to work on his composure and finishing. He was still dangerous for NE to deal with. I wish more coaches played this attacking style…Revs are going to be tough with Benny F and another striker.

  3. Just back from the game. Henry was great, he absolutely showed his class. Ballouchy is awful. hope he never sees the field again, but unfortunaly he will until richards is back. RB seem to have a self destruct button really near by these days, and were lucky to hold on. Great crowd tonight.

  4. JPA has been hurt…he should score quite a few down the stretch. Like NE though, there is no 2nd striker to relieve pressure.

  5. I disagree…I though NY held up very well without many of their key player. The creativity was superb. Give credit to NE, they played their best match of the year without Feilhaber. Their pressure was relentless. I smell rivalry here…forget Philly

  6. Yah, I wonder when it can be admitted that paying JPA DP money was a mistake, one that Arena manufactured all by himself by saying he’d pay DP money for him before they even got him. Generally Im a Bruce Arena fan, and LA IS top the Supporters shield table right now (though theyve played like 300 more games than most other teams), but they have a pretty thin shell.

  7. But disappointed with not only Tainio but Solli….what the hell was that no look crap back pass about??? NE should have scored there and NY is lucky as hell.

  8. I think you could see much with both sides that would make you think when they get all their pieces together, and they have a chance to play with each other a bit more, they will both be good teams in MLS. Having said that, there is no doubt that New York is “underachieving” though Backe is doing his best to lower expectations during the GC. Thierry Henry is still a fantastic player.

  9. Tainio is still underperforming. I think the injury is still bothering him. Keep the ball on the ground! Exciting game nonetheless!

  10. Ives was wrong…both of these clubs have much more depth than LA who has nobody off the bench except for Cardozo

(SBI-What on earth are you talking about? What was I wrong about? When did I say LA has more depth than NY?)

  11. New England is going to be a force in the 4-4-2…especially when they get their DP striker to pair with Lekic…This rivalry will intensify even more

  12. Such a frustrating game – Thierry set up so many chances, can’t believe the Red Bulls didn’t put one away. Especially Ballouchy’s. But at least they finally got 3 points. Great job by Sutton on the PK save. Henry was awesome. Good job by the Red Bulls to play at a pretty decent level with so many backups.

  13. I think we can leave all that criticism of Henry safely in the past. Anytime you have a 30 year + striker, there are going to be occasional fitness issues, but man does he have a competitive streak.
