SBI MLS Player of the Week: Steven Lenhart

Last week, Steven Lenhart put in a performance good enough to win SBI MLS Player of the Week, but fell short. This week, Lenhart removed all doubt about deserving this week's honors as the best player in MLS this weekend.

Lenhart delivered a hat-trick to lead the San Jose Earthquakes to a 4-2 thrashing of D.C. United at RFK Stadium on Stadium. The three-goal, one-assist performance gave Lenhart the edge for top honors this week over some very impressive efforts of Toronto FC's Alan Gordon, Vancouver's Eric Hassli, New York's Thierry Henry and Sporting Kansas City's Graham Zusi.

What did you think of Lenhart being named this week's Player of the Week? Who got your vote for POW this week?

  2. Not saying Lenhart or anyone else isn’t deserving, but out of curiosity, has anyone won PoW or RoW without scoring/assisting in their game(s)?

  3. Both zusi’s goals were better and his games overall were incredible, lienhart wins on stats, zusi on form. Motm in both his games this week imo

  4. If he wasn’t a Quake I would hate him because of the hair. But because he is a Quake, the hair has to stay and I love him.
