Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

Faryd Mondragon (

It's a busy day in MLS and the international soccer front as the Gold Cup and European Under-21 Championships headline the day's soccer viewing offerings.

The Philadelphia Union will be looking to re-take first place in the Eastern Conference with a win against suddenly struggling Real Salt Lake, while D.C. United and the San Jose Earthquakes clash in a match-up of teams riding five-match unbeaten streaks.

Tonight's main event, at least for American fans, is the USA-Panama Gold Cup match, though the Canada-Guadeloupe tilt will also be worth watching.

If you're still hungry for international club soccer action, you can turn to Brazil, where Sao Paulo faces Gremio.
