The CONCACAF Gold Cup and Major League Soccer take center stage this weekend, with a number of crucial battles happening on both fronts.
The United States takes on Panama Saturday night in a match that will likely propel the winner on to the knockout stage. Sunday night, short-handed Mexico takes on Costa Rica in one of the more highly anticipated matches of the group stage.
Domestically, Seattle and Vancouver bring their Northwest rivalry to the MLS level, Philadelphia and Real Salt Lake meet in a matchup of two of the league's top teams and D.C. and San Jose square off in a meeting of two teams that are both currently unbeaten in their last five matches.

Chicharito has 5 goals in 2 GC matches. Unbelievable. He could reasonably have 10 goals by tournament’s end.
Lichaj and Gooch should get a chance to start in the game against Guadloupe as well as guys like Bedoya and Wondowloski
Hat trick for 2moro
can’t they only suit up a limited number for every game anyway? 18 or so?
Demps, the great Texan, will continue carrying USMNT.

Their players tend to be of diminutive stature.
