Most of the big European leagues are still in their preseasons, but that doesn't mean there isn't a portion of the Americans Abroad already in action.
Clarence Goodson began his first full season with Brondby IF by starting and going the distance in the club's 2-2 draw with Aalborg BK. In the match, Goodson went up against compatriot Chris Rolfe, who started and played 71 minutes for Aalborg.
Mikkel Diskerud also saw time this weekend, playing the full 90 minutes in Stabaek IF's 2-1 win versus Rosenborg. The game, which raised Stabaek to sixth place in Tippeligaen, marked Diskerud's 15th start in as many matches this season.
Here is how the Americans Abroad fared this weekend:

If we ran a 3 man back line maybe. Not in a 4 man line.
I just read Matt Taylor’s wiki page for the first time and I would also agree that it is him writing his own page. Its really funny. He is awful. So is that Gale kid from Florida. Good god there are some really stupid people high up in the game in this country myself being the dumbest of the dumb
How tired is Ives/Franco of writing “Marcus Tracy did not dress in Aalborg BK’s 2-2 draw vs. Brondby IF on Sunday. He is recovering from a knee injury.” I wonder…
Adu Time: 22 Minutes
At what point in time can we cross him off the list of future Nat teamers? He was awful in the U20 qualifying and gets cut from a Swedish team.
Considering his Wikipedia page has more information than half of the established American players I’d tend to agree with this comment.
Bornstein did and hes obviously not right in the head
pretty likely but Starikov is not that good.
Not happening Traffic Sports still own him probaly same reason Bryan Arguerez isnt in MLS.
No he actually did not play good and got benched towards the end.
If Gatt, Wood, or Starikov are truly handicapped, I cannot see them making the teams.
Does that whacky agency still own his rights, ie are we in for another headache in him finding a club?
Oh my gosh they made it seem like he was developing into their team. D:
Short. Weak. His great positional awareness can’t make up for his physical flaws at the NT level. He’s not young. The boat has sailed on this very good MLS caliber player.
S-L-O-W
*or
anyone care to handicap the liklihood we’d see Gatt, Wood or Starikov called up anytime soon for Olympic of Senior men’s sides?
so Josh Gatt plays fullback eh?

Wow…. maybe MLS is a necessary set-up for him at this point
Also worth noting that Djurgarden announced they will not sign Agbossoumonde and he will leave the club at the end of the month.
I’ve never been blown away by Michael Parkhurst’s talent but it would definitely appear as if he’s entrenched himself quite well into his clubs starting 11.
For all the hype with Tim Ream (some deservedly so, most not), I wouldn’t mind seeing Parkhurst back in the fold.
Startin’ the new season off on the right foot with a handful of “Dressed but did not play.”
It’s probably Matt Taylor posting…
Sam Petrone dressed but didn’t play for Mjallby against Djurgarden IF
Matt Taylor time…ZERO SECONDS. (do we have to endure ANOTHER season of this ####?? I think Taylor has now replaced Adu as having the most annoying fans on this site. )
u forgot about Matt Taylor for SC Paderborn. Came in as 2nd half sub against Rostock in 2.Bundesliga.
