  1. Sounders started 5 current reserves. With the MLS expanding their rosters and pocketbooks, the tide will never return unless the referees step in.

  2. Maybe last year when Real Salt Lake was up 3-1 on Cruz Azul? Or when the Sounders were up 2-0 to Monterrey? MLS has clearly been getting better year over year. With the deeper rosters afforded by the league this year it pushed forward the inevitable. It doesn’t hurt, either, that teams are going down to Mexico with experience.

  3. I agree but I thought it was a good substitution when it was made. I was hoping his speed would keep the RE defense a little more honest at the end of the match out of fear of getting caught on the counter. That actually could have happened two or three times if Colorado was smarter on the ball.

  4. Nearly 7-0 MLS. Nyassi was a terrible substitute. He blew two scoring chances with ten yard touches, then body slammed an attacker in his own box. One could say, he was trying his best to lose the match.

  5. Watch some more games and you’ll see that’s inaccurate. Mastroeni didn’t even make the trip, for example, nor did Jeff Smith. Nyassi is normally on the wing. Etc.

  6. A point from a road game is still really good. Just hurts since Colorado could have gotten the full three points with better game management.

  7. Well not 3 pts but still a result, and the Rapids should be happy with it and the rest many regulars got during the regular season home stretch.

  8. On the replay, really should have been a penalty on a truly stupid challenge in stoppage time. Just wish MLS teams cared more, love to see how our league measures up to others

  9. A good team that can handle the ball is going to kill Colorado, they are full of ball winners and lack a mid that can get the ball to the strikers.

At least they got the tie.

  10. Congratulations, you caught us eating our words on him for that one play. I still stand by what I said about Kimura as an MLS back.
