Soccer Sunday: Your Running Commentary

Two of the most impressive teams of the English Premier League's first week were Manchester City and Bolton, which both posted blowout wins to start the season.

We will find out just which of those fast starters is the truly legitimate one when they face off at the Reebok this morning in one of the day's most intriguing match-ups. Newly-acquired Sergio Aguero starred for City in his debut and will be watched closely to see if he can keep up the heroics.

On the MLS front, Sporting Kansas City and D.C. United square off in a crucial Eastern Conference showdown. A Sporting KC win would move them into second place in the East, while a D.C. victory would help them leapfrog New York and catch Philadelphia for third place in the East.

  1. Makhachkala. Makhachkala. Nope. No matter how many times I try to learn about this place, nothing seems to stick. Apparently that’s the same for their soccer team?

  2. What game is this for? I thought they didn’t start until next week? And they are thinking about a strike? You sure it’s not an old game? Is Pirlo there for AC Milan? lol

  3. GREAT i watch every Puebla game this year except i miss the 1st half of this game and he finally scores a goal!!!! hes looked really good lately, wonder why BB was so against using him in any competitons… I never understood Bobs theory of Robbie Findley>Demarcus Beasley

  4. Demarcus Beasley just scored for Puebla – off of a decent cross – from a flying, sharp snapping header, beat the goalie cleanly from the 6 yd box.

  5. How can a league with players on strike because they haven’t been paid have more action than a league actually playing games? Please continue with your illogical ideas.
