  1. I guess nobody in China remembers the Spanish basketball team’s slanted eyes picture… Or money hunger replaces pride…

  2. Robbie Findley had a very good game and should be starting for Forest as they continue on as both McClaren and the fans have been impressed.
Whitbread started for Norwich who got pounded but almost all of it was on individual errors unrelated to him. All of the slack was aimed at his new CB partner Daniel Ayala and most commentary put him as the only person on the backline that deserves a start in the premier league against Chelsea. So he might get some minutes on Saturday.
Everybody already knows about Guzan and Lichaj so…
    Good day for the Americans

  3. Lichaj with a goal for villa. Nice.

Whitbread started for norwich. They’re getting destroyed though.

Findley with an insurance goal for forest. They look good to go through.

  4. LOL this Villareal match is getting dangerous quick!

Kick to a guy’s head followed by a charging head butt following by a double studs up tackle through another guy’s legs.

  5. Villarreal’s yellow kit is now supplied by Chinese sports apparel maker Xtep.

Several La Liga clubs wear Chinese kits. Another example: Espanyol is outfitted by Li Ning.

  6. Lichaj (and Guzan) starting for Villa today in Carling Cup. Looks like AV putting out a mostly full-strength squad (Bent, N’Zogbia, Ireland, etc) as well.

Could bode well for Lichaj getting league minutes in the near future.

  7. Not champs league, but Eric Lichaj is starting at LB for Villa’s Carling Cup game against Hereford. No streams but the people at AVFC.co.uk say he hasn’t had much to do yet.

  8. Bayern has killed off the tie by scoring early. 3-0 aggregrate.

Villarreal vs Odense on FOX Sports Net HD (and FOX Deportes HD) is the interesting match. The yellow submarine must score or it will be dumped into the Europa League.

I expect Udinese to go through on Wednesday. Arse-NIL will be the first “brand name” to be dumped into the Europa League this season.
