Yup. Barca is beyond incredible, but there’s just no competition in La Liga, save for RM.
Spot on. There’s really no reason to watch Barca play other than out of pure morbid curiosity. It’s like craning your neck to see a bloody car wreck on the freeway. You already know the outcome, you just want to see the details.
Where is the respect for the Detroit Red Wings? They are arguably the premier organization in American sports.
Not surprised. It should of been 12-0. Viva Barca!
Cowboys are 5 Time Super Bowl Champions & been to the Bowl 8 times. I think the Cowboys have done enough damage then most teams since joining the NFL. Bears & Saints can be considered top teams right now, but in no way are these teams close to being what the almighty Dallas Cowboys represent as a whole. Remember the Yankees hadn’t won a WS title in 9 years until 09 yet they are considered the holy Grail of baseball. The point being is, Cowboys & Yankees are one of the top 8 expensive teams in the world. That is why you hold them in high status.. they are expected to win.
agreed. this might be the best club ever.
Agreed, would rather watch vancouver vs. NER than Barca whip another understaffed steam. La Liga needs revenue sharing badly.
revised last sentence: If what you like is competition, then it’s best to look elsewhere. My apologies.
Barcelona are indeed an extraordinary team, but this is another reminder how unhealthy the current La Liga situation is. You have two teams so very far ahead of everyone else that if one gets consecutive away draws it can plausibly be described as a “crisis.”
If your interest in soccer is entirely aesthetic, then this is the league for you. If what you like if competition than it’s best to look elsewhere.
I know that ManCity has improved this year, but I’d like to see more from them before placing them in the top five.
FCB doesn’t know what struggling is, last week’s tie with AC Milan and their preceding league match were all just one-offs. Barca can’t be beaten easily, not in this world.
“FC Barcelona is struggling.
Yes, I know that sounds crazy to even read, but by their standards, the reigning European and La Liga champions are struggling after giving up late leads in consecutive draws last week. -SoccerByIves”
Not anymore, apparently. How’s the expression go?….”just sayin”
We are watching a once in a generation if not once in a lifetime team, enjoy it while you can.
I think you can take the cowboys out of that. They haven’t been relevant since ’94
They’re like the Yankees, Lakers, and Cowboys, all put together…at the same time. It’s insane how much other-worldly talent is on that Barca team right now.
This is normal in La Liga, teams are reguraly executed by the “might” of the BIG TWO! No one stands a chance.
Yeah I don’t want MLS all-stars to take on Barca
Wow – Those guys are the best. Didn’t think Cesc would have so much of an impact. No wonder Arsenal is struggling.
I propose that if you get beat 8-0 or worse, you get automatically relegated.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Manchester City. Who rounds out the top 5 in Europe?
Roversio: 1 (o.g.)
Did anyone get a hat trick?
