Tough to prioritize as #1, particularly when the benefit for revenue and prize money is so little. Doing well in league play has to be #1 priority for any club. Winning the CCL won’t drive next year’s ticket sales…however, in Colorado not only did it not drive ticket sales they couldn’t even find a jersey sponsor!
I think most of the MLS teams are making CCL a priority this year, but they’re just playing very poorly right now.
