Philadelphia Union vs. D.C. United: Match Night Commentary

  Philadelphia Union Logo

The Philadelphia Union and D.C. United resume their I-95 rivalry tonight with much more than bragging rights on the line.

The two Eastern Conference rivals clash tonight (8pm, ESPN2) with playoff dreams on the line, as the Union still have visions of first place in the East while D.C. is simply trying to climb into playoff position.

The Union will try to stop red-hot D.C. playmaker Dwayne DeRosario, who comes into the match leading MLS in goals, and coming off a stellar three-goal, one-assist performance in beating Real Salt Lake. Philadelphia comes in off a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Sporting Kansas City.

Neither team will be wanting to settle for a point tonight as both sides are looking for three points to secure some breathing room in the air-tight Eastern Conference standings.

SBI will be providing live commentary from PPL Park tonight so please feel free to follow along here. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
