The U.S. men's national team takes on Belgium today in the first match away from home in the Jurgen Klinsmann era (2:30pm, ESPN).
Klinsmann will look to record his first win as head coach, but more importantly, he will be testing out some of the relatively new faces in the U.S. national team pool against another tough opponent.
SBI will be providing live commentary during today's match, so please feel free to follow along here. As always, you are welcome to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action (Commentary is after the jump):

I would rather have Torres than the fastest and strongest. He looks nice
Adu sits on the bench in Philly.
yeah he is, but Nowak is coach, and he’s wanted Adu for a while so I know there’s a reason.
Agudelo comes in as a sub for NYRB
Torres struggles playing for full 90 mins for Pachuca
But they are some of the impactful players we have
He’ll get to where he needs to be
Adu is on the Union bench in Philly.
Adu sits on the bench in MLS?
Agree, but are you Christopher Sullivan,
‘promote fluidity’?
lol….” Also it seems he has proven that you CAN SIT AT HOME AND PLAY XBOX FOR 3 YEARS AND STILL BE BETTER THAN 80% of the USMNT”….lol, I like that
Seems like you are only trolling. This is like preseason, qualifiers start in a yera grow the uck up. Rome wasnt built in a day, read it understand it. You will get some perspective and it will help you in life.
I dont think that you learned how to ride a bike in 3 tries did u? Stop acting like you are Bill Gates and give the team time to learn the system.
You are a moron you dont even know what role he was playing. He is supposed to only help the defensive midfielder not do everything, defend and link to the attack. He is supposed to go and help, get the ball from defense to attack, keep the balla an distribute the ball.
The us is trying to play a possession football style not the styke you have watched for years that is dump the ball up the field and defend all game hope for a counter.
To keep the ball you need a player with skill with the ball in the middle something Bradley, Jones or Edu are not.
He’s proved it when, in two games in the Gold Cup? What’s the ratio of good games to bad games with the US? So what, he played well in a few games this year for the US. At least you do agree he’s no savior. Certainly he’s very talented, but he is so far from a complete player. There’s a reason he’s playing for Philly now, and not using his nostradamous vision in Europe. Bottom line, US is not an elite team, has no elite players (i.e. world class), possibly minus Howard which is debatable, and they struggle against most mid-level national teams as well. We would not qualify for the World Cup in any continent but our own, except Asia possibly, and probably not Oceania either with the playoffs. Everyone just needs to accept it, what’s the big deal? At least we’re not England where the whole country thinks they are the best team in the world every tournament and then they blow as usual…
“he couldn’t cut it in European 2nd div. teams”….lol. Bet you where not saying that after the gold cup. The difference maker in the panama game and one of the only players the mexican defenders respected when the ball was at his feet.
Dont just talk for talk sake. He made the first team every where he went or was loaned, Benifica, AS Monaco, Belenenses, Aris, Rizespor(….and thats tough, even for a player like Bradley).
Torres is controlling the game for the US right now, one of the best on the pitch in the likes of Edu, Donovan, Dempsey etc, coming Pachuca where a lot of times he doesnt even go full 90.
Just like torres, he’s not the savior of US Soccer but he’s one of the “better” weapons in our arsenal….
Yeah, I’ve been watching the USMNT for decades and I think he’s a defensive liability at the moment. I don’t understand what you see? Like I said (did you read what I wrote??), he has nice touch and vision, but he doesn’t play defense. And nice little passes in the middle third aren’t going to get us to the WC or advance us out of the group stage if we do qualify.
People on this board say he’s a defensive midfielder but he is defensively inept. I wish I could post video analysis in this comment box because I could point out instances over and over where he should be positioned better defensively, should go in for a tackle, should be marking goal side. Simple things. He ball watches on defense and you can’t do that at the international level.
If he can improve defensively he could be a great asset to our team.
