Sacha Kljestan has been in good form as of late, and he'll attempt to carry that over as Anderlecht continues its Europa League run.
Coming off a weekend performance that earned high praise, Kljestan should start again when Anderlecht plays its third match in Group L against Austria's SK Sturm Graz. Anderlecht is unbeaten through its first two games in the group, outscoring opponents 6-1.
Kljestan isn't the only American involved in the Europa League. Jermaine Jones could also see time for Schalke 04 when it faces AEK Larnaca of Cyprus. Jones has seen increasing minutes in recent weeks, and he's hoping that continues as Schalke seeks to stay atop Group J.
Here's who the Americans Abroad square off against in Thursday's Europa League matches:
Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur play FK Rubin Kazan in Group A.
Steve Cherundolo and Hannover 96 play FC Copenhagen in Group B.
Oguchi Onyewu and Sporting Lisbon play FC Vaslui in Group D.
Jozy Altidore and AZ Alkmaar play Austria Vienna in Group G.
Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City play Club Brugge in Group H.
Dominic Cervi and Celtic play Stade Rennes in Group I.
Jermaine Jones and Schalke 04 play AEK Larnaca in Group J.
Clint Dempsey and Fulham play Wisla Krakow in Group K.
Sacha Kljestan and RSC Anderlecht play SK Sturm Graz in Group L.

She’s into professional athletes/1980s undercover narcotics detectives I guess. Good for him.
Didn’t see the game (watching Spector), but AZ tied 2-2, were down 2-0 and scored two after Jozy came on.
Someone explain how Sacha pulled a Victoria’s Secret model. Is it the pornstache that she can’t get enough of?
” After learning that crazed standard liege fans had stolen the goal posts, Euefa officials commissioned an American and a Tanzanian from their respective teams to form a goal post with their legs. Needless to say, their presence on the pitch was finally a factor. ”
And, a dozey-do.
Hahaha
