UConn might have had its perfect run and extended shutout streak both come to an end, but the Huskies are still the top team in the country.
UConn settled for a draw against Notre Dame last weekend but improved to 12-0-1 after a 2-1 win over Providence on Wednesday to maintain its place at the No. 1 team in the land in the latest Fox Soccer NCAA Top 25. UConn, which had its streak of 961 minutes without conceding a goal get snapped by the Friars, turns its attention to Pittsburgh this weekend.
Elsewhere in the top 25, Akron followed up its loss to UCSB with consecutive wins over Northern Illinois and Penn State to surge back up to No. 4 and is followed by South Florida, which achieved its highest ranking of the year at No. 5 after an impressive win over St. John's.
Following its win over Maryland last weekend, Virginia makes its return to the rankings at No. 21 after starting the season as one of the favorites in the ACC. No. 22 Duke is also on the rise, and it can climb even higher with a victory of their own over the Terrapins in College Park, Md., Friday night.

Luckily for the Gauchos, Poly isn’t as good as usual this year. Even if they lose, which is entirely possible, they get to go back to the awesomeness that is IV, whereas Cal Poly players have to stay in SLO.
I hear Klinsmann discovered the internet too.
I really wish it was being shown on TV
Kuntz is taking a page from the Klinsmann theory – infusing the Latin influence!!! Love it!
