NY Red Bulls vs. LA Galaxy: Match Night Commentary

New York Red Bulls Logo

The New York Red Bulls and Los Angeles Galaxy head into tonight's contest with plenty to play for, with extra incentives awaiting a victory in this high-profile contest (8pm, ESPN).

The Galaxy can clinch a second straight Supporters Shield with a win tonight, while a victory for the Red Bulls would push New York a big step closer to the playoffs.

The Red Bulls are catching a break as they face a short-handed Galaxy side playing without Landon Donovan, Robbie Keane, Sean Fraklin, Chris Birchall against what will be a full-strength Red Bulls side. New York will be starting Rafa Marquez for the second straight match since his suspension for criticizing teammates and how the Mexican star does tonight should go a long way in determining of the Red Bulls can produce the victory they so sorely need tonight.

SBI will be providing live commentary on tonight's match so please feel free to follow along here. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.
