After following up his breakout 2010 campaign with a surprisingly slow start from a goals standpoint, Sebastien Le Toux is finding his attacking form at the perfect time for the Philadelphia Union.

Le Toux scored seven goals in six matches in September, including two-goal efforts against New England and D.C. United, to take home SBI MLS Player of the Month honors. Le Toux is up to 10 goals on the season after having just one through mid-August, and his outburst has helped the Union to 10 points in their last six games.

Le Toux edged out other candidates like D.C. United's Dwayne De Rosario, who had five goals and three assists including a hat trick against Real Salt Lake; and Chivas USA's Juan Pablo Angel, who had two multi-goal games and scored five goals with Chivas still in the playoff hunt.

What did you think about Le Toux's month? Who was your top player for September?
