Club soccer around the world returns from the international break this weekend. And how.

Whether it's European-based rivalry matches like Liverpool-Manchester United or Lazio-Roma, MLS rivalry matches like Colorado-Real Salt Lake or Los Angeles-Chivas USA, or games featuring Americans abroad who are continuing to get acclimated at their new clubs, this weekend's schedule has it all.

The MLS slate also features games stocked with playoff implications, as Portland-Houston, Kansas City-New York and D.C.-Chicago all will play a huge part in shaping the postseason picture as the regular season winds down.

Here is this weekend's soccer on TV:

  2. Huge win for Dynamo in Portland. Hainault header off a Davis free-kick delivery. And a Danny Cruz solo effort. Kudos to the Timbers Army for a great atmosphere, but Houston’s experience showed through for the full 3 away points.

  3. Wow, Harkes sounds like a moron on the other side of the international date line as well. Does the guy even watch the match? Ugh.

  4. Why does it seem like there aren’t nearly as many Fulham games so far this season?

In any case, aside from the big teams, I’m excited to see Chievo Verona and AZ Alkmaar. And of course 65k up in Seattle.

  6. Typo on the Liverpool v. United game…. it’s 7:45 A.M., not p.m.

Everyone probably already knows that, but just double-checking.

I’m getting my coffee and bagel….Can’t wait!!!!
