The international break means fewer matches to watch this weekend, but there's still a host of Euro 2012 qualifiers, Mexican league matches and a pair of MLS games to keep you occupied.

Oh, and there's that U.S. men's national team game, as well.

The United States is in search of its first win under head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, and Saturday night's match in Miami against Honduras is the next opportunity for the national team and its new coach to get over the hump.

For fans in search of a meaningful MLS match, look no further than Saturday night's Seattle-Philadelphia tilt, which is filled with both playoff and Supporters' Shield implications.

Here is this weekend's soccer on TV:

  1. If I don’t have FSC or univision (anymore), where can i find the game online (the fox soccer app does not have it, and i can’t read univision’s site).

  2. American Football is king….and will be for the foreseeable future. Soccer is working it’s way up the popularity chart. A few wins for the USMNT would sure help. America loves winners.

  3. Univision Deportes web site has the US – Honduras game (or pregame covergae?) listed as starting 6PM EST Saturday.
The game will be streamed live and most likely commentators are Pablo Ramirez and Jesus Bracamonte. If you have a lap top, and a flat screen TV – you can hook up your flat screen as a remote monitor with a computer monitor cable.

  4. So Brazil and Mexico leagues also play during international breaks? That is interesting. I always thought that only the MLS did that.

  5. Look at his neck, he has a white button down on underneath the jacket.

And then notice that it’s pouring rain, hence the rain jacket.

  6. Ives,

In your FoxSoccer Bio, how did you go from a 12-year veteran to a 14-year veteran? Skipped a grade?

(SBI-It’s called not having the bio updated for two years.)

  7. Not until his ankle heals.

In the 2+ years he has been in the USMNT picture he has spent a good part of it with minor injuries that limited his playing time at Pachuca and for the USMNT. Also, his coaches whether it was at Pachuca or Bradley don’t seem to fully trust his game and seem reluctant to place him in a position where the team’s play can be directed by Torres.

Klinsmann has experimented more, but it is a bit early to say he trusts Torres that much.

  9. Yeah, same here. Living in SoCal (well kinda…SLO) I get pretty much all the Spanish stations (Univision, Telefutura, Galavision, Telemundo). I’m never ever going to pay extra for Fox Soccer Channel.

I honestly don’t mind the Spanish announcers. It’s kind of funny and entertaining to listen to.

  10. Considering some of the things the English-speaking announcers blather on about, not understanding what the Spanish-speaking announcers are blathering on about might be something of a relief.

  11. Haha, wow. So unbelievably sad, but true.

Can somebody please tell me why soccer is not the most popular sport in America??

    C’mon Yanks!

  12. Funny how ESPN has the U.S vs Honduras at 12:00pm… Which is it folks? ESPN & Fox on my iPhone is showing game time at 12:00pm.

TEXAS VS OU, U.S vs Honduras, and Rangers vs Tigers! Busy schedule tomorrow for DFW folks down here!

  13. ESPN has the mid-week game. Seems like lately whenever there’s a 2-game set close together, ESPN gets one and Fox gets one. In this case, ESPN was probably happy to give up the weekend game to Fox so it didn’t interfere w/ college football, which is going to draw a higher rating for a middlin’ west coast game than for the USMNT. Unfortunate, but true…

  14. I’d say non-ESPN is a good thing. I know I can start the DVR and not record 2 hours of little league baseball or women’s tennis.
