The Los Angeles Galaxy are turning their success on the playing field to success in the board room with a new local television deal.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Galaxy signed a television deal with Time Warner Cable valued at $55 million over 10 years. The number of games that will be broadcast on Time Warner is still undetermined at the moment.Time Warner Cable take over for Fox Sports West, who were the previous holders of the team's broadcasting rights.
Los Angeles' local television deal comes on the heels of the league's broadcasting deal with NBC that was awarded NBC was awarded the broadcast rights after outbidding Fox Soccer in August.
The Galaxy will look to earn their third MLS Cup on Sunday when they face off against the Houston Dynamo at the Home Depot Center.
