The MLS Generation adidas side continued its tour of the Netherlands with a 3-2 victory over second-division club FC Volendam on Tuesday.

Columbus Crew midfielder Dilly Duka scored his second goal of the tour, tallying off a free kick much like he did against the Ajax reserves in a 4-2 loss last week. Houston's Will Bruin and Vancouver's Omar Salgado also found the back of the net. The three of them started along with David Bingham, Kevin Alston, Conor Shanosky, Sacir Hot, Zarek Valentin, Amobi Okugo, Matt Kassel and Corey Hertzog. All stats and lineup information are according to the official MLS Twitter feed.

The Generation adidas team has one more game during its tour, playing second-tier Almere City FC on Wednesday before heading back to the United States on Thursday.

Bingham, Valentin, Okugo, Duka, Bruin, Zac MacMath, Kofi Sarkodie and Jack McInerney are expected report to U.S. Under-23 national team camp in Florida immediately upon their return.

What do you think of today's result? Which players from the MLS GA team do you think are primed for breakout seasons in 2012?

  1. Defenders #4 and #14 looked very bad in the brief Ajax highlights, they had a hand in all 4 Ajax goals. I think they’ll have bad years.

  2. Oh yeah! Kicked Voledam’s arses. Awesome.

While I’m on the subject, what the heck is FC Voledam? Is that a professional soccer team?

  3. And why is it that Omar Salgado didn’t get called into U-23 camp? I’m not saying he deserves to have been called in, but he might be the highest profile player who isn’t on the roster.

  4. Really glad to see Duka not only getting minutes but doing something with them. Hoping to see him have some success with the U23’s and turn it into an increased role with the Crew.
